4GB Refurbs on the Apple Store

I ordered one of the 4 GB refurbed Tuesday morning and it says shipping estimated 26th-30th. Still nothing from apple of shipment. Guess they will ship it in a couple days. Anyone else order on this week and get theirs shipped yet?

And...they're back again!

Still $299 for 4GB.

Yep,

I ordered one for my wife. She has a 30gb video and uses that mostly in her car. I have an 8gb and she loves it. She wants one and for $299, you can't go wrong. 4gb is perfect for her. She can even watch movies at the gym.

if it does you just take it back to an apple store and they'll replace it ... it comes with the exact same warranty as a new one ...

i see thanks....but (coughin) i m thinkin of unlockin it...n actually my brother is in the US whereas i m in the uk...n i dun think he can be bothered to unlock it for me and check for the issue.....n even if he does...there's still hassle for him to relock it n take it back to the store with no justification that the issue exists cuz u wun notice the issue be4 the phone can actually view some movies or pics....right??

they should have some in stock for things like this (not for selling).... And if they don't then they would send it in to be repaired which I think would take about 3 or 4 days...

Because you can't get a new 4GB iPhone anywhere anymore, so technically they don't exist and Apple can easily sell the refurbs for the same price.
I was hoping they'd be a little cheaper too, but I picked one up for my niece for her birthday. She's been pestering me since she saw mine. Hopefully this will get her off my case...

Products that are not sold officially anymore end up being sold as refurbished, even if they are brand new. Happens all the time when Apple releases a new product; a few weeks later lots of the old ones are sold as refurbished.

I orderd mine this afternoon, and it's already on the old Fed-Ex truck. You have to love the folks at Apple. They know when I have a big ol case of geek lust It even said 6-8 days before shipment. Now I need to sort out how to unlock the thing.
