I think I'm going to go ahead and wait until Friday when my Apple TV gets here before stressing too much. I imagine that they're still getting things ready for the 4K kickoff.

There are 73 available in that section, but something I have noticed there is an All 4K Films row which contains 11 films.
Now what exactly does this mean as I’m now wondering if the Dolby Vision & HDR titles will play back or not on a regular 4K TV.
I’m certainly not clued up on the technical side of things but I would’ve been under the impression that as long as you have a 4K TV minimum then all 4K content will play back fine but obviously without the HDR/Dolby Vision benefits, but now seeing a specific all 4K films section I’m left wondering what will actually happen if I try to play back a HDR or Dolby Vision Title on my TV.

So why are certain movies in my library appearing in my iphone 6s plus as 4K + Dolby Vision if my display is not compatible? They make it look like i can watch 4K content + dolby vision or hdr on my 6s plus.

On my macbook pro none of that appears anywhere.

this is less about your display and more about the ability of the content you have rights to.

They will play, they just won’t be supported by HDR on non-HDR 4K televisions.

I bought The Mummy because it said it was 4K. Now the 4K tag has gone away, and it only says HD.

I'm guessing there might be some weirdness with the tagging for a little while. Hopefully it'll all settle down by week's end or by next week.

I do hope the iTunes store will have a new section titled 'New to 4K' to spotlight older films that are now being offered in that resolution. Otherwise I have a feeling every week...oh who am I kidding...every DAY I'll be scrolling through my library looking for changes. :)

There seems to be quite a difference currently between US and UK stores with 4K content, before I went to bed last night I had a count up.
UK last count was 73
US last count was 137
A few movies like Wonder Woman and Baby Driver haven’t been released in the UK yet but there’s quite a few titles that seem to be 4K in the US but not in the UK.
