Thats it, i will skip this version. I will get the iPhones 6S instead. Hope this thing will have terrible sales and they bring the headphone jack back in two years when I can pick a new free phone from my phone company.

After the highly successful 4" SE launch, I'm very surprised a redesigned 4" iPhone to match the current line isn't rumored. It'd make sense given Apple's current lineup: iPad Mini, iPad Pro 9.7", iPad Pro 12". Why not a 4", 4.7", and 5.5" iPhone 7 line?
They could barely supply enough SE's to meet demand. The popularity took them by surprise and they admitted as much. So I'm sure there was no time to develop a 4" model for the IPhone 7 lineup between the time the SE was released and the release date for the new iPhones. These iPhones take a couple of years in R&D before they are ready for primetime. The SE isn't exactly a new face in the scene. Apple did really well to figure out how to put iPhone 6 specs into the iPhone 5 chassis. And even so, they still couldn't give it 3-D Touch.

ugh the saddest thing about smart phones these days that if you want the best camera/specs you have to buy a phone that's at least 5.5 inches and most have huge bezels except the samsung galaxy s7 phones. Maybe I just have to give in and go big. Nexus 6p at the price its going for these days is tempting like crazy.
That is indeed a problem and why I decided to go dual device when the opportunity to add the SE at a very low cost came up. I still use my phablet as a pocket computer/day planner and have my SE running essential connectivity tasks and quick snapshot work.

When I want to make better pictures and videos for a family event or use organizational and lifestyle apps with recipes and medical record-keeping apps I use my 6S Plus with its OIS camera and 128 GB storage. I'll soon be transitioning those tasks to a Note 7 though.

But the SE is the only smart phone available that I can rely on to be with me at all times. Anything else is too big for me.

The problem is that Apple has designed itself into a corner over the last few years. Each model of iPhone has been thinner, lighter, better camera, faster processor, etc and these improvements have been billed as approaching perfection, as if Apple was privy to some Platonic ideal smartphone form. Whereas the Samsungs and HTCs of this world haven't been scared to diverge from earlier models, even if they've been successful, because it's worth the risk in terms of perceived innovation.

I think Apple realises this now, but they woke up to it 18 months too late and are hurriedly ripping up old schematics in a bid to start afresh in time for next year. Unfortunately that means us consumers have to wait around while Ive et al get their act together.

iPhone pro..upgraded camera and $100 increase in price ala iPad Pro. Thanks apple!
Perhaps a true tone display, faster a10 chip with better gpu, higher res 2560x1440 display. More memory(3gb?) for split screen multitasking and a smart connector, and the better camera of course.

Could convince me to get a pro over a plus easily.

For all intents and purposes, it looks like this is gonna be the real deal. I know it's unavoidable at this point, but it's somewhat encouraging to see I'm not the only one appalled by what I see.

These are very rough looking. I can't imagine Apple will release a final product line that looks this bad. We already saw a video with a dual camera large iPhone in it that had a nice metallic ring around the dual lenses. That looked very nice and more along the lines of what I think Apple will release than these. Now the single camera model/s may end still looking a bit awkward but I still doubt they would look this bad.

I think Apple will offer very nice hardware refinements. It's just not going to look very new and exciting. I think the only way they're going to make it look exciting at this point is to introduce a new color. Blue would be nice.

I wonder what they're working on for 2017. They've made so many interesting investments lately. They've got to be using some of them for the iPhone and iOS hardware in general. It can't all be for the vaporware car.

A video of rejects, perhaps?
I am thinking either early prototypes or models for case makers. I don't expect the final product to be massively different in appearance but these look like poorly cast mockups so of course they're not flattering to the overall design.

Are you joking?

When was the last time you saw a leak that wasn't the new iPhone? I clearly remember those iPhone 5c's being legit. The 5s being legit. The 6 and the 6Plus being legit. Even the SE. The iPad mini! The pro! Every Mac that's ever been made—this is nothing new, we've seen all this before!

When you see a leak of an iPhone, you stay on it! There's no false stories, it's all real and factual because we know Apple! That's all they've got! They ain't got nothing else!

These phones aren't secret anymore. MacRumors and many other online publications have had excellent track records on these phones. And I just stopped disbelieving.

Therefore, my money is already reserved.

The ring/silent switch looks great...... super legit.....
