here you go, i don't know why it is so yellow at the top and bottom, it is even on the top and bottom. The problem is one lighter and one darker patch in the middle of the screen. Noting that no one is getting one with absolutely no issues, I'm probably just going to keep the one I have now. With my level of OCD, nothing will be perfect in my eyes

It is not that bad. If you have even top and bottom- you are fine.

Yup, only two were dead pixel free, but with uneven backlight and one of them- piss yellow.

oh, good, i guess i should't even bother with a replacement if 83% of your phones had a problem with their pixels. Thanks for saving me the trip to the apple store to probably be denied a replacement! It just annoys me so much to have that little pixel there

This is my final unit- black 16GB DNP, week 47. I think I have a winner, don't you think?

Brightness ~ 35%

What about that one:

Full brightness!

Should be a good one right?

Which side is top and which- bottom?

Per Apple themselves - 1 dead pixel on the iPhone is subject to replacement without question.

Before his last post we were talking about stuck pixel- this is different story. You have to have 5 of them and then you can return. And this is only in case Genius could locate them. But once you have one dead- you are right- Apple will replace it no questions ask.

I can see slight dimming on bottom and top right corner, but may be this is just the camera.

Nothing wrong for a LCD panel, there are slight inconsistencies (as I mentioned mostly top right corner), but everything in normal frame.
If we all want perfectly illuminated screen- then Super Amoled is our best bet, but with worse and unnatural colors.

Yes and as I said: I think it's the camera.
In addition i have a screen protector on the front screen...

An older thread I know but I just wanted to get your opinions on my phone. On low brightness it has a really dark region near the top right but from 30% on that area blends much better. The top half remains slightly darker than the bottom even at 100% though. No stuck/dead pixels which is why I think I'll keep it.

Hm, your phone obviously has a backlight problem on top right corner, but it is less visible when the brightness is topped up.
Anyway, I am very sensitive when it comes to this part and I wouldn't stay with this unit, but this is just my opinion. I do have two almost invisible stuck pixels , but perfectly uniform backlight and I do prefer it this way.

It does sort of bother me but I also hate stuck/dead pixels too so I'm really not sure if I should try to get a replacement.

I went to the AT&T store today and looked at the display iPhones and noticed that the 4 and 4S both had uneven backlighting. The 4 was the worst though. The 4S had a bluish tint to it and looked just like the 4.

I've replaced my first one, I recall my second one was a bit better, but now after a few months it's pretty bad.

What is Apple's policy re replacements?

You can replace as many as you want as long as each device has it's own problem and that the genius acknowledge that it is faulty or can replicate the problem. With the iphone 4 I have replaced like 11 times. With the 4S: Zero times have been replaced. This is due to the fact that I got lucky on my first purchase.
