Can someone please tell me how to search by
Phone number? I google searched Track ups/FedEx package by phone number and I got phone numbers for customer service

Can someone post the link for ups and FedEx sites to track packages by phone numbers?

Thx you all

This. Thanks.

It looks like Apple should shorten their upgrade cycle on all products if the iPad 4 is any indication of its impact on sales.

This is amazing. Apple can't make any of their products fast enough. It'll be interesting to see whether the new iMacs go out of stock that quickly.

It IS amazing. Why would anybody in their right mind claim that Tim Cook is a master of supply chain management?

Every product marches to the tune of the same old drummer - Apple fails to produce them in sufficient quantities to meet demand.

I guess that is the most profitable way to go about it, but it certainly gives the lie to that tired shibboleth that Apple puts the customer first!

with the trash weather in the eastcoast, picking up an iPad 4 this friday at best buy will be very easy

Has anybody heard or read about delayed shipping of all the new products now that the east coast is essentially shut down for the next few days?

Not to mention cancelling Halloween this year in Sandy's wake. :(

Yes, my covers are delayed due to there being several airport closings in the east. Seems to be clearing now though, and the delay should only be a day. Perhaps longer of there are lingering problems.

1 week wait considered sold out? The demand for the new iPad is quite underwhelming compared to previous launch. Although, today's benchmarks are quite impressive compared to previous iPads. I guess there are still a lot of people who upgraded the 3 cycle so are going to hold off until the iPad 5

To be fair, the numbers involved are pretty staggering. There aren't many companies around shipping in the kind of volume Apple does (iPhones, iPads and Macs). I'd imagine it's a organisational and logistical nightmare, ensuring the availability of all components from suppliers, block-booking shipping etc.

Sure, they could ramp up even more, but then they risk over-shooting the demand. And if/when that happens, it would be a big PR black-eye, with analysts suggesting it's the first sign of weakness, the beginning of the end etc..

invoice for mini?

Is anyone able to view their invoice for their mini? I can pull up the invoice for the smart cover, but one doesn't show up for the mini.

Also, I used reference on UPS and it only pulled up the covers, which were just delivered to my door 30 minutes ago. Is there a chance the mini is coming through Fedex instead of UPS?

Sales are great, wish that they'd have waited

I cant say that I am surprised that the iPad 4 is selling out, Apple never ceases to amaze me with sales numbers.

I want to say it sucks for those who expected a March/April release, but I know those type of comments arent well recieved here.

I just cant justify buying more than one (full-sized) iPad per year, but now that the iPad 4 is out so soon, I also wont be purchasing a 5/6 month old iPad come March. In terms of customers like me, Apple is losing out. That is, however, only if they dont come out with an iPad 5 sometime in the first half of next year.

The only way I can see them pleasing everyone is by upping the release schedule to an average of 9 months.

OK - I answered my own question. Just checked Fedex and the mini is in California set to be delivered at 3:00pm on Friday here in Utah.

Why won't you be happy cause you won't feel like you'll have to buy a new ipad until October of 2013? like a full 12 months from now!!

Go to apple. Find your order, click veiw edit details. The phone number and order number will be visible.

Enter the phone number just like apple had it in FEDEX. Press enter for another line and enter the order number. Leave the top box, Account Number, blank. Pick the country and the Zip code. Don't bother changing the date.

No one here has said it yet, but Apple leaves it as preparing for shipment.
My order was found on FedEx by my order number. I see people trying serial numbers and phone numbers. Just try the order number!

I was able to track mine using the serial number found on Apple's support site. Looks like it's flying between Japan and Alaska right now, en route to me in North Carolina.

Hurry up and wait. :)

This kind of surprises me to be honest... Them selling out of the iPad 4th gen...

With the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, their supply constraints seem to be largely due to the new cell technology in the touch screen and difficulties with its production.

With the iPad 4, they did not seem to update that component (unless I missed that part)... Therefore, it only seems to be a matter of productions the A6X chip and altering the manufacturing process in order to use the Lightning adapter instead.

OMG, it really works!

I have been checking Apple site for my iPad mini order, and it stuck forever as preparing for shipment.

I just went to UPS site using my phone number as reference number, and pulled out my package! It just arrived Kentucky as most posts noticed. Still on schedule for Friday delivery!

Time to request "work from home" on Friday for signature requirement of the delivery! :)

My iPad Mini black 16GB shipped out from Ontario, CA, instead of China.

Oct 27, 2012 1:47 PM Shipment information sent to FedEx
Oct 27, 2012 9:47 AM Picked up ONTARIO, CA Future delivery requested

I was looking at the iPad 4 page, and I noticed they say they "Doubled Down on Performance" of the iPad...

I guess thats because they can't double down on secrecy due to their massive supply chain.

You mean useless like that?

I'm sure Apple are quaking in their boots after reading that.

So the one time Apple does this they're credibly is out the door?

Sense, you make none of it.

Dude, I'm pretty sure they made it this time to have a consistent product cycle in Autumn before the holiday quarter, I really don't think they will release a new product randomly or every 6 weeks, they just had to do it this time, it makes sense, iPhone, iPad, iPad mini and Macs all together ready for the season, makes sense for me, unfortunately for some guys it was this year. Lucky for me I just gave my iPad 2 to my mum and haven't bought a new one :)

It appears you are not cut out to be a consumer in the fast-paced world of technology.

Sounds like you're mad

Lol. What Kirk26 Said:

Does the "" hold no sarcasm value anymore?

Apparently everyone's sarcasm meter is off today. I see what you did there.

And when it turns out that hey sold 30 million just in preorders what will you say

Hmm. They only :)rolleyes:) had 5 million iPhone 5 pre-orders initially, and the iPad is not nearly close to the iPhone in popularity, though approaching. That said, they probably had 2-3 million iPad "4" pre-orders.

---------

What I WILL Say, though, is that Apple can count me out of purchasing every next product. I usually upgrade annually, but these incremental upgrades make it hard to justify doing so going forward.

Is the A6X twice as fast as the A5X? YES! Is the A5X slow for my usage? NO! This is basically an S model upgrade. I still anticipate an iPad 5 in the Spring. The iPad "4" is barely on the level of the Nexus 10.

thx you!

is fedex the primary shipper for apple? anyone know how to check with ups? i tried the fedex and it didnt find any orders

Looks like most were picked up in China on 10/28. Seems Apple is not updating their order status site to show these as shipped.

I was able to find mine via UPS and my phone number...sitting in Louisville.

That s because it s all done by walking them to the ports.
Gotta keep these millions of people busy.

Guys, I have yet to buy an iPad because of the software I use that has no equivalent on iOS - like QuickBooks.

Have any of you used software on your iPad that's running remotely, like by using a VNC client, TeamViewer, etc.?

If so, how well does it work?
