Only problem with that is that you can't preserve baseband anymore as of iOS 4.3 or so (without bootrom exploit)
That is why I started this thread, to see if everyone updated before me, or if I should be happy I'm still on 5.0.
So how many guys upgraded to 5.0.1 and wish they had not?
initially I upgraded to 5.0.1, but then my wifi stopped working and the genius bar gave me a replacement. this one was still on 5.0, so this time I decided to leave it there. I do think the battery life is a bit worse though... I'm hoping they can port the power management changes over through a cydia package or something
I got better battery life switching to 5.01 as did the other 4s in our family but i can see the allure of the unlock feature so if i could turn back the clock i would have stayed at 5.0 im sure of it. But that is mainly just for resale value down the road and not something i personally needed .
Same - I only want an unlock for the sake of resale. A part of me is tempted to sell this phone for whatever I can get now and then buy a factory unlocked model just so I don't have to worry about baseband updates... but thats more work than i want to do right now lol
Yeah unless i was making hundreds of dollars off that deal i honestly would not bother either.
