"Stolen" is a pretty severe accusation, and you've made it specifically against the UPS delivery person. I'd temper that a little if I were you. You have no evidence beyond the missing phone, and meanwhile we have no one's word but yours that YOU didn't steal it.

Report it to the police too. Unless there's reason not to... ahem...

I love how so many people here just assume that everyone is lying about something. Oh, not the things they say. Just everyone else.

UPS knows when your phone went missing in their supply chain as they weigh your package at least twice.

It is not near what it used to be. UPS let go it's higher paid people in the last few years and it shows

You don't have to be at top rate to still see what you have. How many other company's give sick time/ good amount of vacation / personal days / pension / benefits you pay nothing for / 401K (non matches)/ job security ? I think even at entry rate your still doing pretty damn good.

Most ridiculous post I've seen in a while.

1) You're welcome. It always warms my heart when I advise someone to be careful because they're potentially committing libel, and they, y'know, flip me the bird.

2) There are folks out there who would take a phone out of the box, Craigslist it, and then howl that it'd been ripped off. If I were UPS I'd be curious if you're one of those. Just saying.

3) "Stolen" is a specific accusation of a crime which you [update: orginally] leveled against a specific employee of a specific company. My main point is that you would be on safer ground if you edited your post to say something vaguer like, "My iPhone box was empty when delivered! Someone stole it out of its box!" ...See? No possibility of some Big Bad Corporation making an example of you. Unless they find a Craigslist or Ebay listing they find curious...

And 2nd most ridiculous.

It would not make my mortgage.

Most ad-hominen post I've seen in a while.

And 2nd most ridiculous.

And 2nd most ad-hominem.

So, tell us, what was ridiculous about telling a poster he/she shouldn't level criminal accusations against specific individuals and companies without evidence?

The OP took the advice well, though they were understandably upset, and modified their original claim to be a little more circumspect. Good on 'em. I hope the ordeal turned out well for them.

I wanted to add when I returned my ipad mini last year. I had to use the newgistics labels they offer you from apple. I sent it out, but used the same box I received it in. I had also sent it out with the smart cover in a separate box. The mini disappears, but the smart cover shows up.

Apple gave me the run around for a month and half. I had to call almost every other day, until they finally processed my refund. The only thing that saved me was that the carrier (usps) scanned it once, showing that it was received at the local post office. If I didn't have that I doubt Apple would of refunded me.
