I've removed the battery complication now (not used it since OS3 or 4) as I am getting really great battery now.

SS44mm S5. AOD on raise to wake off, noise off, background refresh on for about 5 apps. 1 day 6 hours, 33% left.

EDIT: That includes about 40 min GPS dog walk and 30 min gym session

Sorry - more recent example was yesterday - ended at 47 percent at 1AM - put the watch on at 9AM

Wow what was turned off for you to reach that number?
Raise to Wake is off (like controlling when it goes into full power mode by tapping or rotating the crown) - everything else enabled with full brightness when the screen is in full power mode.

So I have 36 percent left after 24 hours but that is with low brightness and everything off, noise, RTW etc only thing on is AOD. Is this good a number and is this normal sample variation? Given you had almost everything on and high brightness it makes me wonder about battery variation between the watches. Would it make sense to do an exchange and hope for a better battery sample?

currently on 6 hours usage with 70% left...so not sure if this is much better than it was previously.

with how easy it is for the watch to wake up I think having raise to wake off is the best option personally.

Mine is definitely better since the update. It's gone from around 30-40% at end of day (approx 16hr) to 50% or more. I have AOD on, cellular on, background refresh on approx 1/2 of my apps and now have noise back on. Brightness is medium. This is similar to what I was getting on my S4 which didn't have cellular. I've had the watch since launch. The first day or two it didn't even make it to the end of the day.

I’ve been wondering what was up with my battery life on my series 3. Ever since the update, I’ve got way worse battery life. I used to get around 2.5-3 days on one charge. Now I’m lucky to get 24 hours.

Sorry if this is a noobie question, but how does one install the 6.1 beta on their watch?

Asking for a friend.
Put the watch and its paired iPhone on their respective chargers. Go to the Watch app on the iPhone, scroll to General, click Software Update, wait till the update appears then let the process run till complete. Do not disconnect or interrupt the process till complete. Best done overnight.

My series 3 had excellent battery life, lasting about 2 days without charge. I removed it from the charger at about 0800 today and at 1200 it is showing 97%
