I'm wondering if 6.1 made any difference to the battery life, especially with the Series 5.

Not on series 5 but I have a 4 and took my watch off changer at 6am and it’s noon now and I’m at 79 percent. I am pretty sure it’s noticeably better.

I can say my battery life has vastly improved on my Series 5! Off the charger at 9:30AM EST and 92% at 2:06PM. AOD is on, and brightness is set to full! I also feel like the display is brighter!

This is with 6.1 developer beta 1?

Sorry if this is a noobie question, but how does one install the 6.1 beta on their watch?

Asking for a friend.

For me it’s much better. Installed 6.1 yesterday. The last few days with 6.0 I had about 50% left after 12h of wearing the watch. Also my usage time was high, about 5h & I didn’t do anything special with the watch. Today was the first full day with 6.1. After 12h of wearing I had 60% left. My usage time was about 3h & includes a workout of 40mins.
AOD is on, noise app is off. I did not yet test the noise app with 6.1, but will test it in the next few days, With 6.0 it was very bad for the battery life.

6.1 is a total disaster on Series 3. Battery warning aftr 1/2 a day!
That’s what I get on my series 1 with 6.1, if I don’t turn off Bluetooth on the watch.
With Bluetooth off I get just about a day. This has occurred with every recent beta.
WatchOS 5 gave me about a day and a half.
I haven’t tried to re-pair yet.

Those are good stats. Hopefully we wont have to wait too long for 6.1

Glad this thread was created as many have complained about the battery. Please keep us posted, does anyone know when this update will be available for the public?
