Another good choice is always to wait for the 6+S and buy the 6+, since the price will drop, and hopefully most of the bugs will be resolved by then too.

The more I read through these threads here at MacRumors, the more I get insecure about my 6+ purchase. I've had it for 2 days and I'm already worried about it bending when I applied the silicone case cover (made by Apple). Then, I read about this crescent-shape issue just minutes ago on the front-facing camera which I will test first thing tomorrow. I also need to test for pixel-gate and yellow-tinge gate and if there is any display of a huge fingerprint-gate behind a white background. OMG LOL!!!:D

There is so many testings to undergo for a phone that cost me well over $1000…LOL! This should not be the case when purchasing something this expensive and new.

So far, I'm not affected by hair-gate after making a few calls. And I'm not affected by deaf-gate where the person on the other end of the call can't hear me. I checked for scratch-gate and everything seems to look fine. I did, however, find it difficult to really clean the screen free of smudges unlike my 4S and 5S.

I do have up to Jan. 8th. to make a final decision. I wonder if I should just bring it back and wait for the S next fall?

What else ____-gates have I missed?

Not intended to be an insult to you, but this is exactly why some people may be better off avoiding forums like this. It's like a hypochondriac on WebMD. It will make you stress out about problems that you most likely never would have thought about otherwise.

I will bet you any money the next iPhone will have some other "gates" that get blown out of proportion.

Jesus Christ. Might as well wait for the 7, or the 7S, or the 8. Get a grip, it's a freaking phone.

No insult taken. I understand the mockery some people here have made out of this specific thread. There's been so many reports on issues that I was making light of ensuring I investigate each issue I've read about.

Anyway, the only issue I seem to encounter is via the iMessage App. I can't receive text messages with photos. Normal text is fine, but photos are not being received. I've tried to reboot by pressing the Home and Power button together - nothing. I've tried to close the iMessage App - nothing. I've tried to reset network settings - I did receive a couple of the 6-8 photos I sent myself earlier, but not all. I don't get what's up. Maybe, I need to wait for a software update. Do you know?

If you are worried then return it.

I have had my 6+ since 12/5 and it was an awesome phone. I had no issues with it except that is was 64gb and I wanted 128. I just exchanged mine today for the 128gb model. If you have concerns then I would return it. Not sure how they can reduce the potential for bending, is it a thinness issue or material issue. Either may not even be addressed on the S model. I am not too concerned as it's not a widespread problem. I do have it in a case though. Keep in mind almost all phones have some type of issue and concern.

The real issue is you wanted gold, and you couldn't have gold, isn't it? And that makes you sad, yes? And because you were sad, you squished your kitten, and now you have no kitten, isn't that right? And you feel like, "maybe if I return this stupid gray phone I can have my kitty back," yes?

Well then, I say, return it.

LOL. So true! :D

I can't think of one yet that hasn't. New iPhone comes out and people go nuts figuring out what "gate" they can come up with.

I bought the iP6 & it's great. I NEVER thought I'd say this but I feel like I need a bigger phone than this. I did have one question tho, regarding the landscape mode on the home screen, does EVERYTHING go into landscape ? Eg. The Settings app, Podcasts app, Remiders, etc. 3rd party apps too ? Facebook, Twitter/Tweetbot ??

Really weird. I have not seen that issue with my 6+. I have received several texts with pictures without a problem. Wonder what could be the difference? The texts were sent both from a 4s and a 5s.

Where are you sending the texts from?

I had the issue with my iPhone 6. My husband had a Galaxy S5 and I would not receive any photos he would send me. I received plain texts, and videos. But photos would not come through. Now I have the plus and he has my old 6 and it's obviously no longer an issue because we're using iMessage.

The battery life, signal strength and loudspeaker sound quality are all MASSIVE upgrades over my iPhone 5.
I do wish it had more RAM, didn't stutter/lag so much, and that the space bar was longer in portrait mode (when doing Google searches) because it's a stretch & I'm forever hitting the full stop/period key instead.

I sent those 'text with photos' via a 4S. Since I last posted, I think I got it working. I didn't know that when I did a 'network reset', it disconnected me out of wifi. Once I connected, everything seems ok. I'm able to receive text with photos.

Cool! Glad to hear that.
