I don't find the 6 slippery to hold in fact I think its the best feeling iPhone ever.

It's as slippery as the metal-backed original iPhone. In fact, aluminum is more slippery than plastic (3G/3GS) or glass (4/4s). The glass inserts at the top and bottom made the 5/5s less slippery than otherwise.

I agree the 6+ is to big, for me. But there is a market for it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's a bad product. My wife among many others love the size it offers. I'm happy with my 6. I would prefer smaller bezels for easier on handed use but the screen size itself is fine. The rest of it I love. AC wifi, NFC/Apple Pay. I do agree it's slippery but I always use a case on my phones, they wouldn't last a week without one.

Sorry, there is just no other way to describe it.
6+ is simply impossible to use. Trying to answer a call and you struggle
where/how to hold it so you could hear anything. Terrible.
A two hand operation for anything. No improvements of any kind over
the 5s as far as speed or anything really.
Both models are slippery as hell and no way to put any case on top of
the already giant size or it will be bigger than a tablet. 6 is barely pocketable.
Camera is much worse in both, all the pictures are some smudged blurry impressions
rather than the crisp sharp pictures. Videos seem way more grainy, also
in the so much advertised low light.
iOS 8 is as cr@ppy as all the previous versions, there is nothing
which would see any significant improvements. iTunes is still there
to communicate between your Mac and your iPhone which is the worst possible way.
No file structure outside of the “iDrive” which is as “great” as anything
iCloud related. Try to sync your pictures, good luck. It’s been YEARS
and the awful iCloud hasn’t improved at all. Seriously, you can’t hire
any smart people with all the billions you have?
It’s tragic. I knew all this and I still got those 2 stupid phones.
Gave them my money again. I’m an idiot. Thought that free iMessages with
other iPhone users and my old “unlimited” plan are worth keeping.
Swear to god, never again. Promise.
Iphone 6 is perfectly pocketable unless you have really tiny pockets, people have been pocketing galaxy s4's and such for years. I will agree with you on the lack of the file system and file browser accessible to the user, it is unacceptable in this day and age not to have one. I know, i know, people will jump in and say "well apple doesnt want the file system accessible because some users are too dumb or wont know how to use it and so on". At least there has to be an option, buried deep in the settings to have the file browser enabled. That is the only, only thing that keeps me on android because i can download movies directly to the phone.

I don't think you notice the bad camera to be honest. I tested out several 6's and pluses in the Apple Store and they all have a problem with noise reduction. In some pictures, it is hardly noticeable, in others, well, it looks terrible. Once you see the smudgy/oil painting effect for the first time, you can't help but see it in just about every photo you've taken.

I had my phone for 3 weeks before I noticed there was something wrong with it. After testing some friends' and co-workers' phones out, and going to the Apple Store to test theirs, I knew it wasn't just my camera, there is something wrong with the software/camera that is creating images that aren't as good as the 5s in a lot of similar lighting conditions. I ended up returning my 6 for a 5s because I don't trust Apple to fix the problem in a timely manner, if at all.

The 6 and 6 Plus take photos consistently better then the 5S, countless photoshoot outs show this, and my Plus takes noticeably better photos then the 5S i used to own, I am a pretty big photographer and I have heard of this noise reduction issue, it occurs only sometimes, but the photos are still noticeably better then the 5S, espcially in low light

Never said it was "incredible and amazing". It does however, simply work as a daily driver for a lot of people. There's no denying that. But go ahead and erase the success of Google with your Apple colored glasses. We're in Macrumors after all.

Its not erasing or putting down Google's success at all, a user said "look at Androids userbase, that is more then enough to tell you it is amazing"

And then i just spit out some facts on Googles Android userbase; and now you seem to be getting frustrated/mad in a way? That is the cold hard truth, the reason why Android has so much marketshare is because of what I posted, im absolutely giving them credit for sure for it, but thats why Android is so popular, because it is cheap, which is true.

Looking at Android's premium market compared to iOS(iOS is only premium, Apple obviously doesn't sell anything not premium price) they are alot closer then you think, which says alot considering Apple is only one OEM , compared to the other OEM's on Android pushing out premium flagships left and right

Your post says "its a very good OS, user base alone is proof of that" when really the user base is majorly consisted of cheap Android devices, it has such a big user base because Android is cheap

Again, putting words in my mouth. Not once did anyone say "amazing" but you, don't even try quoting me with that nonsense.

Bottom line is that there is a very large user base of Android users--students, professionals, etc. who use the OS every day to be productive, to be entertained, etc. If you think that's the case because Android products are simply cheaper than Apple products then well, that's just peachy. Have an "amazing" day!!!!

You owned the 5C and 5S?

1-2007
3G-2008
3GS-2009
4-2010
4S-2011
5-2012
5S-2013
6-14
6+14

Bought both and disliked both. Just poor built devices with poor software. My iOS 7.1.2 runs better then iOS 8. I plan on updating to iOS 8 around April next year once they fix a lot.

Idk about iOS 8 but iOS 7 is the most beautiful and smooth phone os I could hope for.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. This really made me LOL. iOS 7 is NOT the most beautiful phone os. That goes to iOS 6. Nothing beats its classic look. Despite having used 7 for a year, it still hurts my eyes because its so bright. iOS 6 did not give me a migraine when I used it.

iOS 8 is laughable and so is anyone trying to defend it. 7.1.2 is pretty good, just designed poorly.

Its like talking to a brick wall, usually how all Android fanboys are, obviously they use the OS same way Apple users use IOS, to be productive, entertained, etc , whatever. My whole point was that the reason why Android has such a huge marketshare is because of cheap Android devices , and that basically any OEM can just make a cheap 1GB , 5 megapixel shooter with a simple old dual core and stick 4.1/4.2 on it and sell it for really cheap which is a fact. It's not a knock on Android OS at all, it just is what it is. Facebook just came out recently and said 66% of Android devices that use Facebook are 2011 era specced devices, which also backs up what I am saying(almost everyone uses Facebook lol..)

Stop using hand moisturiser and get some calluses.

So....return them and switch to Android. Nobody here gives a crap if you don't like your iPhones.

Sorry, there is just no other way to describe it.
6+ is simply impossible to use.
Im able to use it.

Trying to answer a call and you struggle
Just slide the button at the bottom to answer.

where/how to hold it so you could hear anything. Terrible.
Hold the earpiece to your ear.

A two hand operation for anything.
I can use it one handed.

No improvements of any kind over the 5s as far as speed or anything really.
Bigger screen and more battery life actually

Both models are slippery as hell and no way to put any case on top of
the already giant size or it will be bigger than a tablet.
the leather cases are ultra thin and add grip

6 is barely pocketable.
sure it is. its generally the same size as a 5s

Camera is much worse in both, all the pictures are some smudged blurry impressions
my camera quality looks better than any phone I've ever seen.

in the so much advertised low light.
They don't seem grainy to me. they look better

iOS 8 is as cr@ppy as all the previous versions, there is nothing
which would see any significant improvements.
The OS isn't supposed to look like anything or be anything fancy, its about making room for content and being content focused.

iTunes is still there
to communicate between your Mac and your iPhone which is the worst possible way.
No file structure outside of the “iDrive” which is as “great” as anything
iCloud related.
Why would you need to communicate between mac and iPhone? All contact is accessible from the cloud

Try to sync your pictures, good luck.
Why would i synch my pictures? they are all stored and accessible from the cloud

It’s been YEARS
and the awful iCloud hasn’t improved at all. Seriously, you can’t hire

They just improved the experience completely with handoff and continuity

It’s tragic. I knew all this and I still got those 2 stupid phones.

youll never leave you grumpy ol goat lol

I guess we all have different ways of expressing ourselves...

nice poem

Alguien me puede contestar en español que tengo un problema que se me cambiaron todas las fotos de los contactos

What makes your opinion better than his? iOS 6 sucks just looking at it makes me want to vomit. That's my opinion not a fact.

Thread starters post is so stupid it's laughable.

I have an LG G3 that I bought on launch day and a 6+ that I bought an hour ago. Both are excellent devices. Not sure if I'll keep the 6+ but it's a wonderful feeling device.

I have an iPhone 6+ and the only thing that annoys me with it is the occasional performance stuttering. Absolutely unacceptable on a brand new phone.

I can only wonder how poorly it will run a year from now...I think I'll be forced to upgrade early to the "S" model next year when they actually upgrade the internals.

The 6/6+ are barely any faster than the 5S...Apple screwed up in that department. Other than that, I love the size and screen and battery life.

You realize thats not common right?

Most people have zero stutter and its the smoothest phone yet...

You're acting like the processor can't handle it and is underpowered by default or something.

Try a fresh install?

More common than you think:

I did do a fresh restore and that didn't help. It's the GPU that runs out of breath with much more it has to work in downscaling to 1080p. It is underpowered by default in a way. Look at the GPU comparison charts and the 6+ has worse FPS performance than the 5S in a lot of cases because of the increased resolution.

it's true there's no real improvement to be seen. even with the new technology, the operating system is more buggy than it's ever been. and with the added discomfort of the larger screen and slippery display, the 5s was better.

I would, but the problem is I simply don't know anything about Android
and I'm afraid it could be even worse. Although the new 1+ phone looks great.
It's hard to switch when you're surrounded by Macs. It's kind of like
having a terrible job, but being afraid to quit, you know what I mean?
Until now there was no alternative, at least that's how I felt...

Bashing? Not, being very critical - yes. A great company went downhill
and I really don't care how high the stock is. They stopped caring about
great products, milking is all they do...

If you really believe this, why would you hesitate to buy another company's products? I would never buy expensive products from a company that I felt that negatively about. No sense in buying any more Apple products or posting on an Apple forum. Apple products aren't for you. There's nothing wrong with that, but please find something else that you actually do like, or you'll become like the sea of trolls on this site that hate Apple more than they like any other company's products.

To be fair, you're being quite hypocritical by saying you're talking to a brick wall, when you yourself added fluff words to swerve147's post just to reiterate your point.

And to your argument on Android devices running on legacy hardware--why does it matter? Obviously it doesn't bother the user base enough to switch. Not all of us are forefronts in technology. Why does this strike a nerve to you?

Back on topic, OP-- I'd test out an Android device if you find the iPhone and iOS to be terrible. Two things can happen: 1) a new appreciation on how iOS is designed, or 2) a new appreciation to the open nature of Android. Your personal expeerience far outweighs our suggestions.
