6 Plus battery life: excellent

Any 6 Plus users previously own a Galaxy S5? If so, how does battery life compare?

For me the 6+ is about a 30-40% increase over the Galaxy S5 with the same usage. Only charged mine three times and I feel that it's still getting better every charge. However, I feel less productive with iPhone, tasks takes longer time to finish (navigation etc). Maybe I have to learn and adapt more (been an android user for several years).

Maybe it's the lack of multi-tasking and only being able to have one app open at a time...

I don't know that I'm getting the charge I should be, at least not compared to numerous screenshots I've seen.

I get about 9 hours of usage. My phone is also rarely off. I'm always on it. The only time it is not used at all is when I'm in class which is only about 2-3 hours per day

Same usage as mine. It's really good
 
My third full charge. First phone that actually lasted me a whole day and more with battery still remaining.

Ok, cool.

I noticed today that I hadn't set up the office wifi connection. So yesterday it had been on LTE all day lol.
 
Mine was great until 2 days ago... Not sure what's up. I see the arrow for location services now (which I think is a new fitness app) but looking at my battery usage, those things barely take up 3% .

Not sure what's up
 
I plugged it in then took this screenshot. 6 plus 64 gb Verizon on wifi about a third of the time.

Why do so many people post screen shots when they are still at 50, 70, or 90% left? Post it when your battery is almost dead to get a good Idea of the battery life.
 
Sorry to the above poster since I dont have the patience to wait till 1% but I am getting exceptional battery life in 8.2 (wasnt getting good in 8.1.1)

The reason I say that is because battery drain isn't always linear. It may start out with a slow drop in percentage, but that accelerate rapidly as it gets lower.
 
Is there any reason I should let it drain to below 5%? I usually charge when it gets below 20% and the battery indicator turns red.

No, you don't want to drain the battery to near empty, that's bad for the battery. You're better off charging it more frequently when it's at a higher percentage.
