I usually go caseless ... I'm using a case until I get use to the size of this 6 plus.. Once I get use to it the case is gone

midnight blue on gold looks fantastic! a user on here had that combo and it made me want to go out and get a midnight blue case for my gold 6 + that will arrive tomorrow.

What thread? I would love to see it! Have the gold myself and a Spigen case but it's too bendy. Only things that worries me about the leather case is that it doesn't cover the bottom.

I paid with Amex what do they offer compared with AppleCare

awesome move! next 90 days you have full coverage on your iPhone from theft/damage/break - after apple's 1 year warranty, Amex will double the warranty so it will be covered 2nd year - so if you have a problem 2nd year, you are covered up to amount you paid + tax, i assume you paid outright? if your iPhone has an issue, Amex will cover what you paid (i made a thread click here)

A thin case is the way to go. I switch between the Apple leather case and a transparent Spigen bumper-style case. The device is a tad slippery without one, and dropping it would be the worst possible thing.

the problem with most cases I want that cover all the sides of the 6/6 plus have a pretty small opening for the lightning connector.

This is fine and all...if that is the only connector you use. I, however, use the Lightning to 30-pin cable(not the tiny adapter dongle) and I have had problems trying to get that cable to fit properly into third party cases.

If I get the 6/6 plus...apple leather all the way

I actually just filed a claim with Amex for my iPad Mini which crapped out a few days ago (was purchased in Jan 2013). I'm hoping they'll cover the $209 cost to swap out for a new one, which was the diagnosis/next step from Apple. I didn't drop/damage the iPad...it just...stopped booting up suddenly.

If I remember I'll let you know how it goes.

def let us know! when i spoke with them today they said regarding apple products they would give a credit on statement as they want amex customers to be able to get the newest model if you so choose, if you can post here link to amex thread that would be awesome! thx + good luck!!

Using mine naked. Don't like the way it feels in a case. Too big. And the oow cost is too high so I got AppleCare for the first time. I'll just be careful and enjoy the phone.

Same here. First time AppleCare buyer. Only for the 6 Plus.

I tried a case the first and second days I had it, and couldn't stand it because it was so bulky and huge (not to mention heavy. Was a rather minimalistic case too). Took it off, and the 6 Plus is simply FANTASTIC.

But I know it's like riding a motorcycle. It's not if I drop it, it's when. A trade off I'm willing to make!

You guys are nuts. I never used a case on an iPhone before and did't want to on the 6 Plus either. But it only took me one day to realize that just wasn't going to work. It's like the 6 Plus is just trying to jump out of your hands at all times, especially if you need to rotate it back and forth or do photography with it.

I got the Apple leather case and it is good for an everyday case, makes it a lot easier to handle, doesn't add much bulk to the form, looks and feels nice, and makes the camera lens flush. But I'm considering some kind of super grippy case for when I want to take it out shooting photos or video all day.

I totally agree. I have the leather and the silicone. Silicone is perfect for a little grip. Well made too. Leather is slick and therefore slippery for me.

Three days later, and naked it is :) I just need to be careful not to drop it!

There ya go. :)

Also, always use a completely empty pocket. Never set it down on a hard surface. Those things combined with 'not dropping' are all you really need.

I was going naked until I dropped it at work tonight.

Scuffed the corner a tad but the phone separated a bit, was able to snap it right back in place no problem...

Apple store tomorrow for a case, or a bumper. Definitely AppleCare Plus which I was doing before I dropped it anyway.
