I pre-ordered the 64gb Black 6 Plus online and got it via UPS. 2 year contract upgrade through AT&T. I didn't enjoy the size but LOVED everything else. After fondling some iPhone 6's I knew I had chosen wrong.

I drove to the closest Apple Retail Store today not knowing what to expect. I arrived an hour before they opened to find about 20 people ahead of me. I had my 6 Plus in my breast pocket and naturally my line mates struck up a conversation about it, asking to hold it, try a pocket test, etc. I obliged and all of the people wanting a 6 Plus changed their mind.

I got to say, Apple fans are some of the coolest, friendliest people I know.

I was in and out of the store in 45 minutes with a new 64gb iPhone 6 Space Grey in hand, it was possibly the most enjoyable time waiting in line, the smoothest process to do the exchange, the coolest Apple employees.

Days like today are reasons why I love Apple!

I also had a decent 'change' experience. I did not give up my 6+, I just had to return and re-buy it to use the proper contract as I had picked a line not eligible for upgrade.

It took some time waiting for someone who could take care of me, but the actually process took less than a half hour.

Awesome! I'll be doing the same thing this week. Love the screen on the 6 Plus, but it just isn't practical to handle as a primary device (for me).

Had you stood by the courage of your convictions I have no doubt in my mind that after a week or two you'd have come to love the size of the 6 Plus. Now you'll have to live with the smaller phone for a year or two while the rest of the Apple ecosystem transitions to the bigger screen. Oh well!

Why can't folks just let folks "like" what they like? Why did OP have to stand by the courage of their convictions? Actually, OP did the "right" thing for them. If you like the 6+, that is great, enjoy your new iPhone. If you like the 6, that is great, enjoy your new iPhone.

I love the fact that we have CHOICES!

Because the whole premise is the thread is silly and indented as a smear on Plus buyers, as is the assertion that he converted everyone standing in line to the 6. My comment is no less absurd than the OP's. That was the point, which you clearly missed.

Apple has the best customer service and ease of use of any company out there today imo. I dont get why so many people are giving you hate, I might have changed my mind had I the choice between the plus and the regular after seeing the enormity of the plus.

Not the way I read it. I took his comments as constructive whereas others curious on doing an exchange now have a data point for reference.

Smear? Really? I loved the 6 Plus. I just didn't need such a big screen for my phone. And I have very big hands and long fingers. I am 6'4".

The 6 feels perfect to me. And I didn't convince or sway anyone I met in line to change their minds. In fact I told them if you want the big screen, OIS, and the amazing battery life it has, go for it. They held it in their hands, put it in their pockets and they changed their minds. And there were only 4-5 that even wanted the Plus and yes all of them changed their minds.

I really don't understand this forum sometimes. You get crucified if your opinion differs from your own.

Bunch of negative Nancy's.

Sure did. And by the sound of it, you're the one who seems to have to justify and make comments to make yourself feel better about your Plus. I have now owned and used both. I prefer the 6. Don't lose any sleep knowing that, buddy.

Apple has managed to tear the brother/sisterhood apart.

It's similar to Apple vs. Android except now it's a civil war within Apple fans.

I'm thinking of doing the opposite: change 6 for a 6 plus.

I'm sure you won't have any problems! Just be sure the store has them in stock. The place I went to only had 4 I belive today. Shipments come in often though. Good luck! :)

It's sad, really. And they don't even realize who they sound like.

Dude, these people are a joke. These are the people who make apple fans look bad. Anyone who who changes their mind about wanting a 6+ is viewed as a traitor.

Actually, nowhere in the OP did he smear 6+ buyers, but I understand how a 6+ owner who lacks confidence in his choice can see it that way.

Hacky. You could have done better. And the "smear" is inherent in the existence of the thread. "Look at me! I exchanged for the 6, everyone! And guess what? Everyone I showed it to changed their minds too!"

But feel free to play innocent. It's all part of iPhone launch silly season.
