Cheeky gits only allowing you to upgrade everything or nothing. Especially as there are tracks that I'm not that bothered about.
You must be kidding! £111.47
It's almost as though they want you to use Bit Torrent![]()
HOW ARE YOU GETTING THIS UPGRADE SCREEN?
I'm just now finishing my upgrade. 129 songs total and it really didn't take all that long to complete. Not even 10 minutes. I'm glad DRM has finally died on music. Now to kill it on Video's.
EDIT: It appears to have upgraded some of my music video's as well.
% OF is much different than % OFF. 25 is a BETTER deal. I'm still not going to whine though...How come the US gets 30% off the album price and it's only 25% off in the UK?
Did it replace the songs and keep your play count and playlists or did it put them in library next to the old stuff?
It replaced the old track and kept the play count info and playlists intacted. The old files are not automatically deleted they are moved to the trash.
I think there is a way to get around the mass upgrade. Remove the songs you don't want to upgrade from your iTunes library (but don't delete the files). Then do the upgrade on what's left. Finally add the songs you deleted back into your library.
It seems to be taking everything from the songs you currently have in your library and not ones from your purchase history since I don't see any on there that I have deleted from my library.
I know it's a pain, but I think it might work. I'm going to try it when I get home today and I'll let you know if it works or not.
Nah. Not sure why this is a big deal on a mac forums. Most people here have iPhones/ipods anyway. Why you need DRM free?
