I went to Apple Store in the Bay Area and got the Belkin SP. one of the assistants failed 4 times because he always got lints with bubble inside the screen, the fourth try was good until he used a dirty cloth wipe the screen, and the cloth picked up the screen protector.

I can't see myself spending $30 or so for a screen protector. Have any of you used this one before? Apparently one of the most reviewed on Amazon...

Just got my Belkin SP from the Apple Store. The process of the install was superb. Quick and easy, no dust, applied perfectly.

But a question for those who have had it done. Do the edges seem a bit on the rough side, as in not smooth and sharp?

Yes. That is my main complaint.

Got the Belkin SP applied at the Apple Store. Nice fit but the glass is so soft. Already have a ton of scratches on it after 2 days.

I have the JeTech 2 pack and honestly I don't recommend it. It's a good price but the edges really lack strength so it's not as adhesiv. I have one corner which is just loose and can easily pull off with my hand. It picks up lint easily. I've always put on temper glass on all my phones so it's not that I did a poor job. Unfortunately the quality was not the best.
i hope I'm an outlier cause it is a good company.

So E2E glass isn't recommended?

I bump into a lot in my job so I'd like the best protection possible for my 6s.

I skipped the screen Protector on my iPhone 6 because I heard they didn't work with the curved screen, but I really want a tempered glass on my 6s. So I'm hoping they work now?

They seem to really like the Belkin SP glass protector, but it doesn't go edge to edge.

Any reason not to buy an edge to edge one?

There are only a few edge to edge that have the potential to work. Most will leave halos on the sides, even if they say they will work with the 6s, because the 6s screen is slightly more curved than the 6. I, and many others in the thread, have tried countless screen protectors with limited success.

At this point your best bet IMO is to go to the Apple Store and get one done there, since if it doesn't work and you get halo bubbles they will either refund you or try again.

Yeah the belkin one.

I'm mainly getting it to prevent micros scratches, but if it did fall would the loss of area coverage matter?

Got it in today and it did not work out well. The entire right side of the screen protector would not adhere to my phone, just like in this video:
exact same problem.

Tried taking it off and readjusting it about 10 times thinking maybe the design was just slightly off, but if I could get the right to stick then the left was the same, completely not sticking. Sending it in for a refund and avoiding all Godosmith products. I might try the Thanotech E2E protector.

Did you see my follow up video?

I have tried about 10 different glass screen protectors. Never E2E....didn't care for them. Every single one has halo'ed. I had been using a plastic protector for the last few months.
On a whim, I went to the apple store last Friday to see if the Belkin Invisiglass installed by the Apple Store would work. The install fixture is very slick. Quite honestly, being an Engineer, I wish I had invented it. The application went fine, although the installer had to do mine twice for lint issues the first time (wasnt accepting lint for $37 - which is kinda absurd). I was surprised that this glass is so flexible. It almost feels like a very thick plastic screen protector.

When I left the store, the install was perfect. Of course, about 20 min later, I had to return for the dreaded halo issue. Now it was very very minor and no where near the halo-ing I had seen on very rigid screen protectors. It would actually stick down and slowly work its way back up on one corner. When I went back to the Apple store, I spoke to a very nice manager that said there is likely some issue with the screen that prevents the bonding of the screen protector (um....REALLY?). He offered me 3 options; full refund on screen protector, new exchange on phone, or try another one. I told him I would take a couple of days to think about it. He gave me his card to contact him with whatever I decided.

After placing my phone to charge that night I woke up the next morning to find that the screen protector had settled with no haloing whatsoever. I assume it was because of the flexible nature of this protector. I reiterate - not one single screen protector I have ordered had bonded all the way to the edge of the protector. This is the first time.

Having said that, I agree with a poster above that says the glass is very soft. Its touted at 9H hardness, but I seriously doubt that. It already has some minor scratches and I am SUPER careful with the screen. Another post states that the edges are not rounded; this is also true. A little sharp in my opinion, but not bad. It does have good action on the screen and the coating seems to be pretty fingerprint resistant. Overall, on a scale of 1-10, I would give it a solid 8 with points deducted for the softness and edge feel.

Long story short; if you have had halo issues, it may work for you. But its gonna cost you....I believe the protector alone can be bought online for around $18 but if you want to use the tool at the apple store, its going to run you $35 plus tax....

Side note: I found it very funny that for years, Apple has said that their phones do not need screen protectors. I believe that at one point, they actually stopped selling them in stores....and now they have a fixture to install them and charge 35 bucks for a $5 piece of glass.

Good luck to all.

Reading the reviews on apples store, the belkin glass cracks from just being used(without dropping)

What's the next best Tempered glass?

Had been using my 6S with the Apple Store Belkin Glass (my post was a page or so back) without any issues since they deployed them in stores. Only minor annoyance was that the edges were a tad sharp, but nothing major. It also scratched a tiny bit, but again, nothing major. I was happy with it overall.

I recently developed some battery issues and Apple agreed to replace my device. Being lazy to go back into the Apple Store (I used the express replacement service), I ordered some Anker GlassGuards to give a shot. Been a few days and all is well. Installed perfectly, no halo, no chipping. Nice round edges feel nice again, haha.

I don't understand. Are you saying that you prefer one over the other or that they're pretty much the same so don't spend money on Apple Store service?

I'm not saying I prefer one over the other. If you have issues installing and you want that perfect installation, the Apple Store is the way to go. It's a fantastic stress free installation, I loved it. If you don't mind installing, want to spend a bit less, the Anker GlassGuard works great (for me anyway) as well.

Thanks for clarifying.

Anyone find a good FULL glass screen protector? That isn't $40?
Full cover will easily cause halo effect.
[doublepost=1458725256][/doublepost]I really want a screen protector which has no halo effect.
[doublepost=1458725519][/doublepost]Halo effect. But i have order a new one on Amazon today, hoping that it would workgreat.

I always thought .30 was the optimal thickness for Touch ID to still work.
Is 0.30mm Ok for 3D Touch

Got an ice max 3D from Amazon and it was off. The right side would not adhere unless I aligned the screen slightly to the right, so I had either a large unstuck right side or misaligned holes. Contacted godosmith and they agreed to send a replacement which arrived way faster than I expected. As if it was prime shipping again. Anyway this one went on perfectly the first try. No halo, perfect. Couldn't be happier.

Even though there are some halos and air pockets that can't be fixed, I want to encourage people to really press firmly on their screen and to slowly, slowly work the "pockets" and the halos out to the edge of the screen. Some halos can't be fixed, but I've had a lot of success working them out of the glass protectors I've had on my 6s+ and my wife's 6. A lot of the halos do eventually get worked out and disappear, so don't despair. :)

I just recently got one of these:

3D Tempered Glass Screen Protectors For Iphone 6 Plus 6s Plus By DBPOWER, Stainless Steel Edge, 3D Curve fit, 0.15MM, 9H Tempered Glass, HD Clear[3D Touch Compatible]-Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B019ZJE7XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_JJa9wb49YAGKE

For my 6 +. While it is a steel surround with just the screen area being glass. It's the single best (of literally dozens I've tried) one I've had for coverage. It's really thin, it actually does completely cover the screen, including going round the curved edges. I'm really pleased with it.

Wow, that looks great. Incredibly thin. I'll have to see if that's available on Amazon in the US.
