Ice Max 3D on my iPhone 6 with the apple leather case.

Ice Max 3D full coverage glass screen protector. by Robert, on Flickr

had my Ice Max 3D on since November. It's been an awesome protector. only got one tiny spec of lint under it on the bottom but never bothered me. I dropped my phone in my apple leather case the other day on concrete, thankfully my phone itself is fine but the protector shattered. i got my new one in today (Ice Max 3D again). bought it from amazon and installed it. Now i have what looks like scuff marks on both sides. I also got more bubbles than before. I'm pretty good at getting the bubbles out, but these are not coming out - may take a few hot days or something? the rub marks are almost like you rub it against something and leaves a mark but it came like that out of the package. I sent them a message on amazon hoping for a replacement. we'll see what they say.

here's some photos of those rub marks. it looks like they should wipe off but they don't. very weird.

Ive now tried to Anker GlassGuard+ screen protector's for my iPhone 6s and both were a bust. I get my phone wiped and ready, I take off the backing to the protector, put the homebutton alignment thing on and stick it on and boom, something got stuck to the sticky side of the protector. I am in a bathroom with water running and everything.

I really don't know what else to try. I was using my phone naked and I really like it but I have notice come hairline scratches on the phone and thought I should try a protector before it gets worse. The screen being curved makes it so damned difficult to find a good protector. I thought edge to edge was the answer but now I am not so sure. Are there any GOOD "Standard" glass protectors for the 6s that actually cover the whole screen? They seem to have a real problem making them wide enough.

How are plastic protectors on the curved screens? Can even they wrap around since they are flexible?

Just venting a little due to frustration. There seems to be no really solid protector for the iPhone 6s and I feel it's largely due to the curved screens.

I hear ya. I went through several protectors that were edge-to-edge and non edge-to-edge and none worked. The Ice Max 3D worked for a little bit but it lifted every now and then when switching cases.

I settled for a non edge to edge S/P from Anker. It's the regular GlassGuard, not the GlassGuard +. This one seems to work perfectly and the edges sealed properly. The downside is that its non edge to edge but its holding up beautiful.

At this point if there's been no luck I would just wait for the iPhone 7 before looking into S/P's further.

I'm not sure about the plastic ones as I have not tried those.

I appreciate your input thank you. Does the one you have cover the screen? I'm not so much worried about edge to edge I just can't stand those ones that don't fully cover the active screen.

It covers the view able screen area. Beware that some users in this forum have tried this S/P and has not worked out. Strangely enough, it worked for my 6S (no the 6S+)

So, since Jan. I had a iPhone screen that had zero halo effect. Had to get my phone replaced and will be receiving it Monday. I've noticed, that serial numbers that are 'F17' do not have the halo effect. Those that are C6K typically have the effect, at least my with my experience over the last 10 months. Unfortunately, the new device being shipped to me is a C6K factory device. With that being said, does anyone have a normal screen protector that is not edge to edge with a C6K serial that doesn't halo?

A few posts back I mentioned that I went with the Godosmith E2E screen. The case I am using is VERY minimalist so the glass is pretty exposed. I was thinking that is just fine as I'm pretty careful and both the SP and the case are more for scratch protection.
Well, today I was standing in a parking lot waiting for my wife (reading MacRumors form on TapaTalk) and when she came up she turned around and accidentally smacked the phone right out of my hand. It flew in the air away from me and landed pretty hard face down and slid another good five feet. As I'm walking over to it I'm thinking worst case is the SP is shattered, best case is that it's scratched very badly. Turns out neither. It did scratch the corner a little and some very minor other scratches but nothing that I thought it would be like. I'm super impressed with how well it absorbed the impact. If I had my previous, non E2E sp on with this case (which I was using for a while) I have a feeling the exposed corner of the iPhone screen would have taken the hit and possibly cracked the screen.
I'll let this screen get banged up until the new iPhone comes out then swap it for the exact same screen and give the phone to my wife.

After getting my Daswise in September, it finally cracked and started to chip last week. I'm not sure what happened to it since its never been dropped. I suspect it might have banged around in my pocket during Disney's 7 Dwarf Mine train ride, but that's about it. I later went to a local mall and got a kiosk cell guy to replace it with a non-edge to edge glass case. For $20, probably paid too much, but I really didn't want it naked the rest of my vacation while chasing Pokémon's all over Disney World...LOL!

I really want to go back to using a glass protector but my phone has been in a lifeproof since I had to get a replacement for dust getting into the top left corner of the screen. :(

I've got a great recommendation today.

Got this protector from a company called "Smash-It".

Very good fit, no bubbles or halo effect visible. Excellent touch responsiveness. No issues with 3D Touch. Works with RhinoShield Playproof and CrashGuard cases.

The only tiny negative is that it does overlap the screen slightly and so you lose a tiny bit of the screen edge. I wouldn't say it was enough to bother me personally.

I've just put the Ice Max on now and I'd say it's better than the Smash-It protector. Some bubbles but all worked out and the screen edge is not nearly as removed.

There is still a bit of screen cut off. When viewing the screen from an angle, the bottom of the screen is cut-off. I would think this is the case with all E2E protectors though because of their thickness. Can somebody confirm?

I've had my ice max on for quite a while with no issues. Just had to replace it die to the fact I chipped the protector (phone is fine).

My new replacement arrived yesterday and it went on MUCH easier than the initial one (took a lot of patience and some massaging to get the upper right corner to seat properly without bubbles). This replacement one went on in seconds, aligned perfectly and zero bubbles.

They may have made a change since my first once, but this one went on perfectly, quickly. No screen cutoff or any issues (dust, debri, streaks).

Good to hear. Thanks for the update.

I'm surprised there's no screen cut-off, even when the phone is viewed at an angle? The IceMax I just recently got definitely shows screen cut-off at the sides.

Any chance of a photo?

This might seem like a silly question. But do anyone know of a glass protector for the BACK of the phone? I've seen some on Ebay and tried to other two different ones, but they don't really cover the back of my iPhone 6S Plus at all. There are huge gaps on all sides (top/bottom, left/right).

Why would I want a glass protector on the back instead of a plastic one like Zagg? Because glass simply feels superior, and especially with the upcoming Jet Black phones it will retain the glossy look much better. I really hate the grippy feeling you get from elastic/soft screen protectors.

The ONLY full screen edge to edge tempered glass screen protector to even consider is the GODOSMITH Ice Max 3D. Period. Precise cutouts + the rounded edges make it look and feel as perfect as Apple's glass. Seriously, it's perfect.

Just search for this item number on Amazon: B010HUKFXE

But they don't have a 7 plus screen protector yet. :(
