Battery technology continues to be the bottleneck for mobile devices. They can keep making them thinner and faster and even increase efficiency to compensate to some extent, but right now it seems that the only way to achieve significantly better battery life is to increase the physical size of the battery.

Probably because the features and use of the devices would become similarly more intensive as they become better and can do more things faster.
My point exactly hence i doubt any major increase in battery life. But i wish i was wrong

well if true the leaks have a smaller battery so i dont see this being possible. I highly doubt the battery will be much better. but hope you are right.

are you saying that the chart they show at the keynote will actually show an increase year over year? I would bet no

Battery Chemistry improves over time. You'll have to wait to see the real world performance. :apple:

Agree but apple hasnt bragged about that in a while. And any improvements in battery chemistry are very small

Small battery improvements with an extremely efficient new AX Silicon will equal slightly better battery life.

It's all relative. I can choose to have my 6 last 9 hrs or 4 hrs between charges. It's all about how I or anyone else configures, and or uses their device. :apple:
