i used to care about getting my phones on launch day. but when you think about it, it's really not that important. i don't know why you guys go crazy about this. as long as i get it somewhat close to launch day i'm fine with it.

Just got an email about shipment from AT&T regarding my 6s, which was shipped on the 18th actually (Good job AT&T waiting 5 days to let me know it was shipped).

Nothing on the PLUS, despite it being ordered way earlier (@11:59pm PST). Still hoping it'll show up on Friday but it's looking more like I'll have to be waiting into middle of October.

wow they didnt notify you of your tracking number until now? were u checking the order status of that 6s? that didn't update either?

Some of us may have phones that are barely functioning. I can do almost nothing with my phone because of freezing, contacts being deleted, almost no notifications...I can't download any additional apps and only have 3 installed that didn't come with the phone. It is a piece of junk and I need it for work and my personal life. So yea, I want my phone on launch day because I am working with a damn paperweight right now. Perhaps have some consideration. Not everyone is in the same boat that you are.

care to share what junky phone that is? it's not an iphone is it? because ive never had such issues with any of my iphones since the first one.

i see. i tried to leave the world of apple last year and got a samsung s5. it was god awful. thank god i had 2 weeks to return it. it's the actually the reason i dont have a 6 plus right now. i had to settle for a 6 minus because that's all they had in stock when i returned that android junk after 2 weeks.

I love my 6plus...but waiting for my 6S + to arrive.

I ordered at 2:10AM CST from AT&T app and still stuck on the 10/16-23 dates. Hopefully we will get them early next week if not on launch day.

It's not important, you are right. That doesn't mean that people (including myself) don't like to try. For me it has become a tradition since the very first iPhone - I've had one on launch day for EVERY single generation. I want to keep that going, it has become a running gag with friends and family. Everyone that ordered a 6s+ from ATT is sadly not going to receive it on 9/25 (maybe some lucky ones will). I ordered 2 phones, one from ATT and once I saw the ship date (I ordered 9/12 12:04am) I went to Apple to order the same phone, albeit 10 minutes later and got a delivery time of 9/25. So, I will be getting a phone on launch day - one will be returned.

I had the Note 2 and it was a really solid phone. But this phone...it's horrible. It was great for a few months, but then it started to decline. And I swear it has sensed that I am replacing it because it has tanked in the last 2-3 weeks. That is why I really, REALLY want my phone to show up on Friday. I'm missing calls from my kids about practices ending early, important work calls, emails, contacts being deleted without me realizing it until I need them...it is just a barrage of bad times.

Same actually, ever sice my 6s+ was preordered the note 4 battery has been dying within the work day and other problems even after buying a new battery

Yup, it only updated on order status after I got the email. Thanks AT&T!

well that sucks lol. i need to know when its gonna be here at work because i have to go to the receiving dock to get it once it arrives.

I think I'm more pissed about this whole situation because it's only att web orders that got shafted. If it was all 6s plus, cool whatever but this is just aggravating. Plenty of availability too.

Mentioned this is in the other AT&T Thread...

I got an email this morning from AT&T informing that my shipment date has moved from 10/19-10/26 to 10/16-10/23. So, baby steps.

My phone was also ordered at 11AM Central on 9/14, so I expected a later shipping date than most of you.

6S Plus, 64GB, Silver

i have that same estimated date w/ the same phone, but i ordered at 3:20AM eastern on 9/12 saturday morning.

So my wife's 6s was shipped on the 18th but I just got the email for it today. The order status page is STILL NOT updated lol. I keep thinking that ATT's systems will be getting better every year, but it's the same old same old. No change on my 6sPlus yet, and nothing comes up when I check FedEx by reference number for either phone. Not looking good for 6sPlus orders.
BUT, the same thing happened last year and somehow I received my 6Plus on launch day without having ever gotten a shipping notification from ATT.

that's terrible. i dont want my phone sitting on the shelves in the receiving dock without me even knowing its here....

Same here. Got screwed by switching to HTC. Broke down after 1 year of use (a few days after the warranty expired actually). Couldn't afford a new phone, so was using an old 4S. Shattered (think asunder) the glass of said 4S a few months ago. And now cannot wait to get a new functioning phone that is not HTC or Android for that matter.

You would think as a company in network and IT in general, they would be able to build a better back-end...
