Aren't most of the 6s + backordered? =(

They had a display manufacture problem but have other companies to pick up the slack. They will make them in time. I bet you, you all get them on or a couple days after launch.
Me I will be at the store at 8am to get mine. No more waiting for UPS all day..:)

Rather wait for UPS then go to the store. Have to order online just for the upgrade.

Trust me, your shipping quotes or non movements means NOTHING! I have went through this last year, and last years launch was much bigger in the US then this year. You will get it on time or days after. Not weeks or months. The only thing you guys are doing is worrying for nothing. I lost 2 years off my life last year going threw this, tracking planes calling CS reps 5 times a day, checking order status 10 times a day and glued to forums for hours.(My kids had to feed them selfs for a week:) I had a shipping date of 2 weeks to a month after launch. I even had the most popular model and color and it shipped on launch day and I got it that Monday after launch day. They do not deliver on weekends so Monday it will come. Trust me on this and learn from my stupidity last year. You guys have nothing to worry about.

I have a reservation, one for 8am and one for 8:30 just in case. I will be out in 30 min with my new phone in the morning and get it on launch day. Last year I got it 3 days after launch and waited all day for UPS. No more for me. But then again I live in a small town so our lines are nothing compared to big cities../
 
6s Plus 16GB Gold AT&T

Ordered At 12:15 AM Pacific on 9/12 But Got Oct 16-23 Ship Date. Although Apple Was Still Promising 9/25 Delivery For Many Hours After The Pre Orders Went Live... If My Phone Hasnt Been Shipped Thursday Night, Ill Be Going Early To The Att Store On Friday To Try To Get One
 
Bottom line is there HAVE to be some 6sPluses that will make it into people's homes on the 25th. There's no way all other carriers and retail places have the 6sPlus but ATT has ZERO.

The question is just how many they will have. Nobody knows. We'll start seeing on Wednesday/Thursday ...

how did verizon and sprint get phones to ship out for launch day and AT&T did not? Like are they supplying their employees first that didn't order the phone? idk...i have a super hard time believing none of us will get them this week. i ordered around 2:50 ET, (10 mins earl) and will be extremely confused if i don't receive it friday.
 
Would it be smart to just go in store on Friday to try and buy the 6s + they have in stock if they even have any and just cancel the preorder? I really dont feel like waiting until October for mine. My Note 4 battery is dying so fast.

I dont think either of those is a good choice. More than likely, you'll receive your phone earlier than the projected date. Also, last year i had attempted to get my dad a 6 and because all of the stores were fulfilling their preorders first, buying the phone in-store took a lot longer than it would have if i would've just ordered it online. Also, apple is allowing people to make reservations to pick up their phones so there might not be a line, but the phones may all be reserved already. you're absolute best bet is to stick it out with this order. If you cancel it and go to an apple store, you're basically moving from the front of one line to the back of another.

People need to stop calling the employees don't know. They give you the regular customer service answer because they know just as much as we do. They just ready what is on a screen. We clearly are probably not getting any pluses Friday or Saturday. They will ship them when ready.

Actually we shouldn't stop calling, we should ramp it up even more. AT&T wastes peoples time, why not waste theirs back? it's not hard to put in a simple status or communicate order info... they know and have known since the day after you could order exactly who and when each person is getting their device. If you made the stock cutoff, they already have a device reserved for you... they just don't provide that level of information.

So I say keep bothering them, if they don't want to be bothered then share the information they have in their systems so we can self-service it.

Only if you are buying the phone straight out with no contract can you go in on 9/25... if you are doing the NEXT or 2-yr contract then you are screwed because your account has already been flagged as renewed and you won't be eligible and the store can't fix that if your order is in limbo.

I am confident that if you don't have a launch day delivery date, you will not get it on launch day. Most carriers and resellers have good control of their inventory. These phones were manufactured long ago, not last week.

I do hope people get them sooner rather than later, but in my experience with some exceptions, you will not get the phone on launch day unless your ship date is 09/24 or earlier.

Both Apple and AT&T are working diligently to fulfil orders as quickly as possible and we’re genuinely sorry for any inconvenience.

I too have a reservation but I would have to cancel my order to go get it, and that's not going to happen. As I understand it, they will not be selling service free phones. You have to have service to pick up in store. I also thought the reservation were all about the Apple financing. I don't think they had buy online pickup in store.

IMO You are worried ATT won't ship in time and that is the risk with resellers. Especially, if you don't have a ship date of 09/24 or earlier. Next time buy from Apple to be 100% sure. All of this calling and checking and worry and outrage is just STUPID.

My order say's ship 09/24. I don't need to check. It will ship. If you have a different date, then wait and see...but calling is just a waste of time. Others with legitimate needs have to wait because of all the OCD.

Now if you want to check something, call your credit card company and make sure they will clear the charge. Or that you still have room. Many pre-charge holds have expired. Fraud detection seems very haphazard, and this purchase is seen as an online out of state transaction.

If your preorder date is far out then maybe. But I am not sure how many phones will be in the store for walk-ins on any given day. You will wait a long time in line as the focus of the store will be financing reservations which you cannot walk in an do.

I got the same thing last year from AT&T for my 6+, and my phone was almost a week late after release date. Ordered through Apple this year (Next Plan), and I am already tracking my phone all the way from China with an arrival date of 9/25. Ordered 128 GB Space Gray 6S+.

I will NEVER order directly from AT&T again.
