I ordered a 64GB RG + at 3:04:56 EDT on Sept 12th. I am disappointed that I won't get it today, but I would have been shocked if I did.
I share the frustration of anyone who isn't getting their phone today and ordered early, but if anyone was paying attention to what happened last year this shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. Last year was a total fiasco with AT&T, people who ordered the same configuration I did days after me were getting their phones on launch day. I didn't get mine until weeks later. This happened to dozens of other members of this forum. People screamed that "Premier" people were getting their phones ahead of non premier people. I'm premier, so there goes that argument. Others were screaming that people with next were getting their phones first, but that didn't pan out in all cases either. I have no idea what the real problem is, but it does feel like AT&T is the worst carrier for order fulfillment even when it's isn't a preorder for a launch day phone. I stick with them because, unfortunately, they have the best service in my area. I would love to switch to Verizon or T-Mobile just to see if AT&T really is the worst at customer service as I currently believe they are.
This is my last year ordering through AT&T. As soon as my phone comes I'm calling them to pay off the ETF and I'm paying full price for my phones through Apple from now on. I'd rather pay a couple hundred extra each year than deal with ordering through them, or leasing a phone.
