Same thing happened to me when I put my mother on my family plan. I was told I needed to do it online only. If I wanted to add her in the store, or over the phone, it had to be via next. Total scam.
I got the same response at my local corporate store.
 
Placed order through retentions (got 2 year pricing 3 months before contract ended) for 6s 64gb space grey. Shipping date 9/30-10/02
 
Ordered 64GB SG 6SP on 9-16 at 3 pm and received today. I upgraded from 6 plus. Doesn't feel any heavier to me and my apple cases from 6 plus work fantastic with new phone.
 
reading thorough all your posts makes me really jealous. I ordered at 8:00 am sept 12 and my order did not ship and i haven't even received the tracking # . Have called ATT numerous times without any help whatsoever. Talked to the last rep a bit ago and she basically told me that I won't get any tracking# until probably monday if I am lucky. :( . I am really bummed about this

Random question has anyone that has gotten their new phone that is on AT&T Next get any type of notification to turn their old phone in?


I got the paper work that says i have till the 8th to turn it in. i then asked a CS rep if i could pay it off, he said go in the store to pay it off and that i had till the 18th. No way i have 25 days to tun it in. But yes i got the paper work and shipping label. why turn it in when you can pay it off and sell it for $500 on ebay...

Hell it might cost me $500.00 to pay it off. I got the 6 Plus 128GB I got about 475.00 left on the the next if my calculations are correct. With shipping I'll probably break even.

So I ordered my 128GB 6s Plus on the 12th at 6AM. I got the October 16-23 dates with no movement at all. Today I went into the AT&T store for the heck of it and was told that there was no way I was getting one "before November" no matter what my estimated date was.

Then I tried the Best Buy down the street. They had my model. After checking to make doubly sure no one had it reserved I canceled my AT&T order and was on my way with my new 6s Plus. They were more than happy to take the sale from AT&T

I'm there with ya except the difference for me is I have no phone coming period. I'm going to try reserving one at 8am tomorrow.

AT&T has really dropped the ball this year. There's tons of complaints on their Twitter and Facebook pages... it's almost hilarious to read.
 
Ordered 128GB 6S PLUS from AT&T online today. Expected ship date is 10/23 - 10/30. I have my no contract 64GB Apple.com pre-order that I received today to play around with for 10 days before I return it.

I haven't. My phone arrived today and I successfully activated it, porting in my number from Verizon. One of the reasons I switched was to take advantage of the promotional credit by switching and turning in your phone.

I wonder if you can turn your phone in at an AT&T retail store rather than mail it in, once you get notified to turn it in.

Yeah but you came from another provider. I'm talking about when your on AT&T Next already and are upgrading and have to turn in your current device.

I just did the same thing. Walked in to an AT&T store at noon and jokingly asked the guy if they had a 128GB Gold iPhone 6 Plus and wtf, they did. So they canceled my Online order with the "f.....g October 15 Shipping Date. I'm in Cloud 9 ready to plug this in to my iMac!!!
That's awesome!!! I've never pre-ordered an iPhone before and I don't think I will do it again. I'll take my chances at the store.

I don't understand. We have people here who ordered on or before midnight that have not heard anything. No status update. Not you specifically, because there are others who are also bummed and ordered 8 to 12 hours after the start, yet expect something being shipped out for Sept 25.

I want to get my bummed feelings over before all the other people who had the opportunity to sleep where as the 12AM - 3AM group went the extra mile to hopefully guarantee a Sept 25th delivery and it wasn't good enough.

There literally were that many people who ordered and that many who are bummed.

My bumminess is bigger than yours. :p:rolleyes:

Woke to emails from AT&T. At least my 128gb SG 6S+ is on the way. Delivery set for Monday . AT&T certainly did not go by order time as people who ordered long after me are receiving today. I pledge to never order from AT&T again.

Did those people who ordered after you pre order the exact same model/color?
 
Was talking to a co-worker that works at the local FedEx as a part time employee. He said that their boss has asked any employees if they would like to work Saturday just to help get the iPhones out. Perhaps that will be the case in other towns.

AT&T, to the best of my knowledge, did not use Saturday delivery.
On mine, it specifically states "weekday". That's why I'm getting my 9/24 overnight delivery on Monday, 9/28 . . . just as the Fed Ex rep predicted when I called them.
 
Good ol' AT$T neglected to put the floor number or company name on the shipping labels for mine and my wife's phones, despite the complete address appearing on the shipping confirmation emails we each got.

To add to the folly, FedEx stated on the phone that they wouldn't let me go to the hub and pick them up until they made a delivery attempt, and that they wouldn't make a delivery attempt without a complete address. Talk about red tape. And of course the only people who can reroute the delivery is AT&T.

Finally I got someone with a brain on the phone and they are letting me pick them up tomorrow. I narrowly escaped them being returned to sender.
 
Getting the iPhone delivered on Monday is wasting the whole weekend of going out and playing with the phone. My phone is one state away.
