I regret not getting the plus last year. Im switching my 6 for a 6s plus.

Just need to decide if i need 128gb or if ill stick with 64. I have 10gb left on my 6... (what would you guys choose?)

Are you doing the Apple Upgrade program? The difference in monthly payments between the 64GB and the 128GB is like $4.00/month. That made it easy for me to choose the 128GB.

Nope, I've had my 6s Plus almost a week now and I love it. I agonized over the decision when I got my 6 last year, and since day one I was afraid I had made the wrong choice. I moved up to the 6s Plus this time and couldn't be happier. I have tiny little hands, so one handed operation wasn't really even a thing with my 6, so no difference there. I love the size and the feel of the Plus....I finally feel like I'm right where I belong.

That's interesting about the small hand size. I never considered one handed operation wouldn't be practical on a 6. I started with a 6 to get used to a bigger phone in steps rather than jumping right to a Plus. I love the 6s Plus now.

I even bought the Rolling Stone issue that had the Apple ad with lifesize images of the 6 and 6 Plus and made cardboard mockups based on the dimensions of the phones to approximate the hand feel (did the same thing with Apple watch). Here's the 6 Plus.

I went from the 6 to the 6S Plus. Gave it a fair chance over the last week, but I'm returning and switching to the 6S. For anyone else curious about the Plus, I recommend doing the same, because your experience might be different.

Sure, there were moments that I liked the Plus a bit more than the smaller screen, but at no point did I say to myself, "Wow, this is way better than the smaller iPhone." Being able to comfortably pocket my phone, and operate with one hand — for me, those are more important attributes than extra screen size and battery life. While OIS would be great, for any serious photos I'm using a much better Canon DSLR anyway.

That being said, I would probably switch to a larger display in the future, if the form factor is a bit smaller than the current Plus.

Anyone gone from a 6/5s to a 6S Plus and regretting the size at all?
Some do, some don't. If you're wondering if you will or not the only way to definitively answer the question it to give it a shot and see for yourself.

Going through the same exercise now. The Plus is really nice but the one-handed operation running around NYC for me is essential. Holding the phone on a long call today was heavy too.
I still have another week to get used to it.

Same here. I've only had it for a few days, but its definitely different and difficult to get use to from a 5S. I love the screen size, but the weight is substantial. The size is cumbersome. I'll only have it for a year, so I guess I'll trade down to a smaller phone if I really don't like it. But I also am not above trading it in for the 6S. The skin I ordered might make it less slippery.

You are not the only one-- I had expressed my misgivings about going from a 5s to 6s+, mainly because of the weight change and a lot of people on this forum completely belittled me. That being said, I am starting to get used to it and would have a hard time going back... especially since I sold the 5s :).

No regretting the size, I have huge "gorilla mits" so the phone looks and seems like a more normal size.

I went from a 5s to 6+ then to 6s+. It is definitely my favorite phone so far.

I got my 6s+ from the Apple store on launch day, but the initial euphoria has worn off. This is mainly due to the difficulty in carrying this hulking phone. It does not comfortably fit in my pockets (except for cargo pants, but then it's banging my knee as I walk), and the saddle belt holster (it's huge!) I bought for it presses my side and abdomen whenever I sit (plus, it looks like I'm carrying a pistol). I hoped to be able to carry the 6s+ nude, but it's too slippery. (The Spigen soft-plastic clear case alleviates this, while adding only a slight bit of bulk).

I previously had the 6, and last night I was lovingly fondling the smaller, lighter and oh-so-comfortable-in-the-hand 6s in the Apple store. I was ready to return the 6s+ today, but the Apple stores in Manhattan only had the Verizon Rose Gold models in stock (I'm on AT&T).

Pipper99 has good advice: I will give it a few more days to see if the same magic "Plus" spell comes over me that apparently has come over so many on this thread. (However, I won't wait until Day 14 to take it back, just in case the phone I want is not in stock that day).

I moved to the Plus from the 6 last year (and every iPhone before that). I've had it a week, and the size is the least of my worries. I'm more trying to figure out if I can live with the screen issues.

Honestly, I'm enjoying the size. I admit I don't always want to get it out of my pocket as quickly (mainly because the pouch I'm using is tighter on the phone than the one I had for my regular size 6).

Once I get the phone out, it's ok. I wouldn't want to stand up really long periods of time with it, but using it while sitting is very enjoyable.

I admit, when I pick up my 6, I go "wow," this fits like a glove. However, the plus isn't bad, it's just different. I think there may be some real tendencies towards the smaller phone at my core, but I don't see the Plus as being a big enough inconvenience to not want to give it a shot for the coming year. It honestly starts to feel more normal and even smaller, with each day that passes. It doesn't feel as much like a phone, more like an internet communicator.

Hahaa...I too was at the Apple store last evening, fondly fondling the smaller 6s, thinking of how agile it allows me to be (and how much of a body part my new 6s+ feels) and feeling like I wish to return to that one-handed buddy that I lust after. The 6s is just a stunning work of compact, technological art.

Though last night I was laying in bed with my 6s+ and loved the all the information on display on that gorgeous screen. And knowing that I had a lot of battery life, and the OIS camera seems to be performing great. And I thought to myself that I love the 6s+, and feeling like I was torn between two lovers!

I too have 7 days left to decide. And it's gonna be a race right down to the wire. Perhaps I can get by with a limited amount of one-handed operation on the 6s+, and stop being such a stickler for all-or-nothing one-handed use.

But, at least its much easier to find and trade down to a 6s, rather than being one of those who are lusting after the hard-to-get 6s+.

Wait a minute, that's a cardboard mockup? If that's the case, wow, and I will NOT be showing the one I made ... :D

LOL yep. I bought two issues of Rolling Stone, cut out the phones so I had front and back images, and glued it all together. Then used packing tape to cover the images to protect them.

Heck, I could've just bought that from you, saved some money vs. buying an actual phone ...

:D

LOL. I even carried it my pocket when I went out to get a feel for the sizes of both phones. That's how I decided on the 6 last year - taking an intermediate step before buying the 6s Plus this year.

Either they made fewer 6s+'s, or they are way more popular than the 6s, going by stock; which is somewhat surprising to me.

BTW, I've had the the + and i've never really warmed to it. I don't dislike it, but I liked my 5 much more. Thing is, I think I need the larger size, but in reality I don't. I don't play games, or text very much. Just calls.

Absolutely ZERO regrets! I held off last year and got the 6 due to reports of graphics stuttering. Now that is no longer an issue, I have the 6S+ and I know it will be the only size here on. Great battery life. OIS video and photos. Higher resolution display are well worth it. Web page are so much easier to read as well.

Went back to the Apple store yesterday, and amazingly the regular 6s now feels tiny to me. So, it finally happened -- I fell under the "plus" spell! It's sooo nice using the larger screen. Every thing looks, and "feels" better.

I now realize that the problem is not with the phone, but with my lifestyle. I have to find a different way of dealing with this beautiful and expensive object while running around New York City.

All-of-a-sudden the Apple Watch is beginning to make sense....

I am under the "Plus" spell too, have been for a year since I bought the 6+. I, too, have had to adjust my habits to adapt the awkward phablet size. This includes buying only clothes with large pockets, bringing a jacket for a walk just so I have somewhere to store the phone, and pulling my phone out of pocket every time I sit down. Despite all this, I still constantly noticed the presence of my 6+, like a needy kid crying for attention all the time.

By the way, I got the Apple Watch too, but it didn't help as it needs to be around your phone all the time to work fully.

Finding myself doing so much to "accommodate" this slab of inconvenience, I decided to get a 6S this year. It was a night and day difference in portability. That extra not-even-1-Inch length really made all the difference. The 6S now quietly sits in the background until I need something from it. Unfortunately, this is not the end of the story. I freaking miss the 5.5" screen of my 6+ whenever I interact when the screen of my 6S.

I know I can't ask for a needle with two sharp ends. But I just couldn't make up my mind between pocketability vs. usability. Arrrrrr!!!!

Oh boy! I sure hope I don't grow to regret my choice of going big, as you describe! (Have you ever considered a belt holster?)

It seems Apple believes that choice requires sacrifice. Likewise with the MacBook Pro -- if you choose portability (13") you sacrifice power. If you choose power (15") you sacrifice portability!

As many have said on this forum, the ideal iPhone size would be 5.0 inches -- a real sweet spot (many Android phones come in this size). The screen is "just" big enough, and the size/weight is "just" handy enough. But now that Apple has tasted success with two different sizes, it's not likely they'll be going that route.

Lol, belt holster? That's the last thing I would consider.

Aside from comfort, I also find the Plus looks ridiculously big in my jeans/pants pockets. Sure it fits in them, but still looks really bad walking around with it in my pocket (in my opinion). I'm sure not everyone feels this way.
