When taking a photo against a window or a very bright backlit source of light, there is a huge flare on the glass of the camera, thus reflecting on the lens. It is considerably bigger and brighter than on the iPhone 6s+.
The camera is much better but this reflection can be a problem, since it can't be removed easily without Photoshop.

If you could exclude the large black sofa, the cameras would have exposed this so much better.

The blown highlights are to be expected when you have that wide of a range in lighting.

It's in both cameras and is not unusual. Internal reflections are causing havoc. There is no solution other then much higher quality lenses and avoiding this type of shot.

You didn't read the thread. I'm not talking about he highlights. It's the reflection on the glass. It happens a lot more than on the 6s.

I know. This is a difficult shot for any camera. I was just showing the larger reflection compared to the 6s. It happens all the time now. I never had a problem before. Also the reflection is double on a 7+. Try it against a I got bulb at night and u will see

Yes I did and I see the reflection, as you call it, on both bottom images. I think the sensors were overloaded from over exposure and it almost looks like banding. Nothing there to tell me my 7 cameras are inferior.

    Enjoy.
