its hard as hell to take a screenshot of my order without showing personal info.. but for all the non believers, this is from my order email ..notice the same tine frame...

I think the issue is that AT&T and Apple use different terminology to describe different stages of product orders. Everyone else here is writing about Apple's order stages, hence why most people ordering the 7+ jet black are in processing and everyone flipped out when you mentioned "prepared to ship"

It's not an Apple only thread. My bad for flipping out. Sorry to be the bad guy. Just like to get as accurate of info as possible. Hope we all get our phones early as we can

So here is my experience so far. I only login every 2 years around release date to track along with the MacRumors community.

Logged on to order at 3:01 am Friday. Apple Store App didn't load until nearly 3:14am. Went to process order, issue with ATT billing address. Attempted to login to ATT to change address; address failed USPS validation (just changed by 911 center approx. 1.5 years ago.) Gave up hope, but received a 24hr. Apple placeholder email at 6:25am.

Stopped at 2 separate ATT stores on the way home from work to change address, but no avail. Called ATT Customer Service at home around 6:30p and had address manually entered. Apple processed order within 10 minutes.

Current shipping is 4-6 weeks, Oct 18-31st. 7+ 256GB Jet Black. iPhone Upgrade Program (1st Enroll) Judging from past shipping estimates, I'll have it between 9/26-10/3.

We all want accurate information. It's just that every time someone post something like "preparing to ship" we all flip out because the are so many damn people who fake screenshots thinking they're HTML wizards.

Interestingly enough, within minutes of everything being complete, I had received the Apple Order Confirmation (3:15 AM EST) and an hour and half later at 4:44 AM EST my "welcome email" from Citizens with an account number and what not. Both Citizens and Apple hit my card the morning of the 9th with pending charges (I believe it was Apple for tax and Citizens for the initial payment), neither have processed fully but will see what happens over the next few days. Here's to hoping Apple pulls some magic on the dates but if not i'm fine waiting a few weeks as well to get some cases to try out ;)

So I received a text from Sprint about verifying my work email for my monthly discount. (I get 18% at my place of employment). I only bring this up, because the date of the last text was September 15, 2014 (when I purchased the iP6 and received it September 19, 2014) and Sprint only does this when you are beginning a new contract (i.e. upgrading your device). I just believe "something" is happening. Not saying I'm getting my phone Friday or anything, but things are definitely moving. Every little sign is exciting. :D

I have the same delivery window as you, only difference is that I ordered the 256GB and I have Verizon. Your little tidbit there gives me hope. Thank you.

I am located in Italy and thankfully there is no iPhone Upgrade Program. Anyone has an official answer from an Apple rep? In the US I think some Jet Black must be available for the general public. And BTW on the website for all the iPhone Plus it says to pass by the Apple Store on Sep. 16

So the only way would be getting in line overnight and when the Store opens, either you go back home or go back home with the Jet Black.
 
Ordered from Verizon on 9/9. Their website was completely useless until about 3:10am ET and I placed my order for a 256GB Jet Black 7+. God a delivery date of 9/28. Confirmation email time stamped at 3:14am ET. I've seen no movement on the order.

Without reading the whole thread, does anyone have the 9/16 delivery date for the 7+ Jet Black 256GB, or is it all after that date?

Not really germane to the thread but just thought to share. I was rummaging through my email and found the following info from my 6 and 6S plus preorders:

iPhone 6 plus 16GB space grey: ordered on 9/12, order email (6.30am EST) says delivery in 7 - 10 business days (Oct 1 - 6), phone was delivered on 9/24

iPhone 6S plus space grey: ordered on 9/12, order email (3.09am EST) says delivery on 9/25, received shipping notification on 9/24, phone was delivered next day air on 9/25

Not sure how much inference I can make from this - given how things may have changed with their logistics, the demand for the different phones and the theory that they may not have even had any high capacity jet black phones in stock and they are just ramping them up. But my amateurish guess is that the 6 plus shipped directly from China but the 6S plus from within the US meaning that they probably were able to accurately predict the demand for the 6S plus slightly better than the 6 plus (i may be totally wrong here)
