FWIW...since the package left AK and could feasibly make it to Houston by tomorrow morning, I called UPS and spoke with a rep. Interestingly, they told me they have a "special set of representative that are handling iPhone package questions" and I was transferred. I asked that agent about holding it at the local facility so that I could pick it up tomorrow and was told that was impossible. She also informed me that they are doing no Saturday deliveries for these and it would be Monday.
That's about what I figured.
