So 12 days late of launch.. Never thought it possible.
Next year will likely even be worse because it won't be a typical "S" year. It's 10th anniversary so Apple will release something spectacular that they won't manufacture enough of..

I just called UPS and they said my phone had left China and was in Incheon. That he wasn't sure why the website wasn't up to day, but that I should be getting an updated delivery date later tonight/tomorrow. So all of us who are stuck in SS since Saturday should hopefully see some movement soon!

Does your tracking status reflect what he says? or does it show still in SS china?

I posted this over in the 18-31 Oct thread but figured it should go here too since others have their package currently stuck.
I just got off live chat with UPS and this is what I was told about my package which is stuck in ZhengZhou, China since the 24th.
Jenny C.: Thanks for your patience. I reviewed the information and this is a part of a big shipment that the shipper shipped with UPS and it must clear customs all together, at this time we are holding the packages at our UPS warehouse until they get released from customs. I would recommend that you please keep monitoring your package for further updates.
I then asked how long the shipment takes and they replied with
Jenny C.: We commit the deliveries pending normal customs clearance, however, as the package is under a special clearance process we only can recommend you to keep tracking the package to see updates on its transit.

Well heck! I just changed to shipped this morning but I'm also still in China. Also, Apple went from giving me a estimated delivery date of Monday, Oct. 3rd, to no date at all now...
guess it's still better than "processing"
Heck yeah. I had a clear one from Spigen, but it kept sticking to the phone and making it look like it had a bubble or something. I ordered 3 more on Amazon ... found one I kind of like but ... I'm still not satisfied. The hunt continues!
I did order through at&t, which I know is part of the problem. I have never had problems with them in the past. The "good" news is when I checked the *6737# this morning it had changed to backordered. I hope that means it will be shipped very soon.
It changed "to" backordered or "from" backordered? Backordered means the product is temporarily out of stock, so if it changed TO backordered, that's not good news.
Very very surprised today. After posting the replies from UPS last night I check today and it is currently out for delivery. So happy now I will get my iPhone today.
That's funny because a lot of people on this forum have said that when their status changed from preparing to ship to backordered they received shipping notification soon after.

Really? That is weird. But I guess I haven't paid that much attention to what's going on with people who ordered from carriers. If that seems to be the trend, then I guess that's good news for you.
Here is the UPS updates for mine.
There was no departure scan from ZhengZhou and went directly to the import scan. Kind of strange it had a departure scan and then an arrival scan from the distribution center. Only 4 more hours until I am home and the phone would have been already delivered.

Fingers crossed. I checked my order from the link in my original email. It now changed to back ordered, like calling 6737 had earlier. However, even though it says one or more items in my order is out of stock, it shows it being picked up in Fort Worth, and scheduled for delivery tomorrow via FedEx.
Mine was just delivered! Original delivery date was 10/16-10/30. AT&T 256GB. Went straight from SS to Import Scan in Louisville to Miami.
I'm thinking maybe they are being shipped in bulk on a Cargo Airline (Atlas, Cargolux, etc.) instead of on UPS planes and that is the reason for the lack of scans.
