I still contend that no one who ordered a 7+ 256GB received an email stating delivery will be 9/16. I'm not saying we won't get it on 9/16 (wishful thinking) but I'm doubting anyone got a confirmation email stating 9/16. If I'm wrong, I would love to see it because the front page of this site says the exact same thing as I'm saying. Ha ha ha.
This reminds me a lot of the original space black Apple Watch, took me over a month to get mine following launch and I was one of the first to order. Their choice of materials and methods to make their devices black seem time consuming.

Your appeal to your no doubt minor deity notwithstanding, I do plan to watch the stores for shipments as soon as they are available. It's how I got mine early last year but the Jet Black is going to be rare I think.
Ordered a Jet Black 128 GB 7+, confirmation 3:04AM Eastern. Ship date 27 Sept - Oct 4th to Canada. Looks like it's an extra day north of the border. Still at Processing Items.
I also ordered a base model Watch 2 about 10 minutes later. Confirmed to arrive on the 16, and my credit card has been charged. Also still at Processing Items though.

iPhone 7 126GB Jet Black on Verizon, ordered at Apple with the IUP delivery set for 9/16 ordered at 12:40am
Had to sit on hold with Verizon for a half-hour because a pending plan change had to be canceled before I could upgrade, was surprised it showed 9/16, checked today and it says Preparing for Shipment still on the 16th

Was a little cheesed that the store wasn't coming up at 3:01 but it seems like I'm still in the "first group". Very excited to be getting the phone, just a little disappointed that it may not come Day 1.

Yeah if it makes you feel better I'd gladly trade spots (I'm 2-3 weeks). And I'm a little cheesed that I was refreshing on both the app and Safari, both on my Wi-Fi and LTE and couldn't get the store to load until 7 minutes after midnight... But oh well, here's hoping we all get bumped up as people cancel and stuff.

yes for the jet black iphone 7 plus your ship date is the first group, i got oct 4-10 which i believe is the second batch
Got my preorder for a Jet Black 128GB 7+ Verizon iPhone delivery changed earlier! Sept 17-24th. Launch day delivery looking more likely.
I feel for you! I was shocked the dates were slipping so damn quickly. Nobody wanted to touch the Gold & Rose Gold 7+'s. Here's to hoping we all get bumped up!
I'm guessing the few available plus models will be shipped to stores for launch day and the Sept. 26- October 3 will be the next round made and first wave shipped to customers.

Yeah can you give some more details please? What were the original dates, did you talk to anyone from Apple or did the dates just change by themselves? Any e-mails or anything to let you know, or you just happened to notice they changed? Did you pay extra for expedited shipping?
Couple of inconsistencies with your image against mine showed below... Why does yours say next day shipping? Where is your line access section?
My original delivery dates were Sept26-Oct3 like the other Group 1, 7+ jet black preorders .

Sure, I talked to an Apple CSR after that 2hr52min hold. She mentioned that Standard shipping was 5 days, so I said I didn't recall seeing an option to select expedited shipping during the preorder. She said Apple will by default pick the fastest shipping method for preorders. Then she found a way to select next day shipping for my order. no additional charge showing up yet.

That's interesting, I don't know what line access is. I actually have AT&T grandfathered unlimited data plan (3 UDP lines on family plan with 2 reg lines). I used my parents' Verizon wireless account info to preorder this year because Verizon A1661 7+ model has the superior Qualcomm modem (CDMA + GSM).

Thanks for the info. I may try calling tomorrow to see if I can do the same. May not make any difference but who knows. Still hoping that the 2-3 week people like me get bumped into the 1-2 week group.
