I was looking into that too but it looks like they don't apply easily and I'm immediately hesitant with anything that comes with solution spray haha
I had a skin by a different company (not clear) and it worked really well!! It was on the gold aluminum of my 6 Plus though. Not sure how it would work on a glossy finish.

I dont get then why they would take our orders for something that doesnt exist yet or something they advertised as "available on sept 16th" knowing it wouldnt be ready by then.
It's actually happens all the time in the retail tech world. They want to have all of their pre-orders lined up so that as manufacturing completes they have orders to fill immediately. Lots of examples of this in the retail world.

IF they ship overnight, might be a USA only thing. I haven't seen anyone post pics of the jet black pluses other than the Apple Store ones.

It has become normal now for demand to outstrip supply for new iPhones in September. I used to think they started production in June to meet that demand but it sounds like they don't start until August 1st or so. I'm sure yields are pretty uneven the first few weeks and while getting 5 million phones completed to ship on launch day is quite a feat, there's just no way they can meet demand for everyone that orders in the first 12 hours.

I've seen people talk about getting a wrap/skin to protect the 7+ back, JB finish. Any suggestions/leads on anything in-stock?

Have 2 Spigen cases and an Otterbox Defender on the way, that will surely arrive before the phone.
I ordered a clear skin from slick wraps. It hasn't came in yet.

True, plus it makes Apple look good when they can report that people are lined up in droves for their products.

Right this is what I'm saying. SOMEONE has to be getting a JB plus or JB 7 128 or 256. No one has a tracking number? Hmmm or is that some other celebratory thread? I'll stick w you guys.

Same boat I had cc fraud and had to change my payment method mid chaos- so I get what your saying but in my experience preparing for shipping mostly means they're done with the $$ part or still have a verified hold on your funds so long that that hold is not more than three days old.

PayPal sucks. They'll let you put a million dollar worth of "holds" on your account even if your available funds are 10 cents. Then when they attempt to finalize them you are screwed and get hit with insufficient funds fees.

I use simple bank for most of my billing. NO FEES. Period. If money is taken from your account. It shows a negative balance and if you don't add funds - they just return you to your previous balance. No penalty. Highly recommended.

- checked my status - still preparing for shipment. No support profile. No UPS.

Guess I'll be waiting til next week to get my fingerprints all over my phone and start working on a nice "micro patina".

While this does look good at first glance, it then doesn't seem so good after you think about it. All these flights are going to be landing at 1:00 - 2:00am EDT. They would then have to be sorted, fly to their destination, usually another sorting facility then put on a truck to local UPS centers, and then finally placed on the delivery truck. I just don't see all this happening before 7:00 tomorrow morning.

Ugh.

iPhone 7+, Jet Black, 128GB, Verizon (actually on T-Mobile though)
Ordered on Apple Store app, confirmation by 12:15 midnight PDT
No movement whatsoever, still dreaded "Processing"
Estimated delivery of Oct 4-10, was Sep 26-Oct 3 when I initially added to cart, changed after checkout was completed

The only reason I'm still holding out hope even for a delivery next week is because every time I've ordered from Apple's site, I get it earlier than predicted (which is usually launch day after given an estimation of 1-2 weeks out).

One time, when I used to have Sprint and ordered the regular 6 Plus, I got quoted 3-4 weeks (despite ordering within 20 minutes of midnight), but I still got it launch day. However, this was through Sprint.com back then. Ugh!

Thats messed up tho...thats like saying theres gonna be TONS of people waiting and theyre super sold out but obviously because they did it like that on purpose...and theyre not releasing their first week sales for a reason. Im sure they have this all planned out

For real? So there's still a small chance all that could happen for me and still get it on launch day?

If our config is here in the US already and that your order went through within the first few mins of launch, its possible. That's been MY experience. I've preordered ever preorder. Only the times that I ordered later on in the launch day has the phone come after the day it's in the store. I could just be lucky or something's weird with all is JB folks. Or maybe tomorrow this time we're going to be chatting to each other about the flightaware app. Because our stuffs coming from china. I hope the typhoon is over.

That is true that's why i keep asking people if they're in PST. Still I've had a tracking number sent at 10p on Thursday and got product (preorder product) on Friday. But it is getting late.

Obviously I hope we get our JB Plus tomorrow but if we don't, I would love to find out the true story behind this mess. Yes when I bought the phone Apple gave me the 9/26-10/3 date but why in the hell would anyone believe they wouldn't have any JB Plus's available on launch day. Makes no sense....

Because Apple moved up the release date by one week to try to capitalize on samsung's mess.

Actually that can happen pretty quick, but we would have labels already and be able to track them if they were on these flights.
