Has anyone who ordered the up-to-date SL originally have a 'Ships: September' ETA and get a prepared for shipping notification?

So far, ive only heard from people who had Aug 28 ETA and got prepared for shipping

I just ordered my up-to-date CD today.

MAC OS X10.6 SNOWLEOPARD UTD FULLFIL-INT
Ships: September

:(

so im not the only one with original september ship date who hasnt prepared for shipping yet, whew

had to fax in mine as the online one rejected my SN after I cancelled by original order... when i use the check status site all it says is "backordered".

i wish apple would stop screwing the UTD orders... we should have as much right as the others to get SL on the 28th but I'm not getting my hopes up.

(ps: located in Canada)

i Just talked to a apple customer chat person and they said that the uptodate program people fall under the same distinction as the normal purchasers and that they will be delivered on the 28th. My order just changed to ships by august 28th. Has anyone else heard a confirmation of this report?

Mine just got changed to August 28

Same here, just changed to Ships by August 28 from Ships: September. Still says "Not yet shipped" however

Probably most people should have the shipping date updated to Aug 28th after the store was back online.

Was about to get mad....

Sweet!!! Finally, my order now says that order is will be shipped before the 28th of Aug. I was originally going to get pissed because I thought we were going to have to wait until September to get our copy?
How does this work? I bought a mac min, will I get a copy of snow leopard that is mac mini specific or will it be a regular retail copy?

Ordered today: 28th August ship date.

Ordered Snow Leopard this evening via the UTD scheme and the ship date was immediately by 28th August.

mine still says september :(, in australia.

on a side note: do people who ordered through the up to date program receive the exact same thing packaging wise as someone who bought the upgrade at the shop? i realize nobody knows for sure but what happened with leopard?

It's exactly the same thing, only cheaper.

Can anyone tell me how I can find out about my up to date order? Can't seem to see anything on the order status page for the UK store

Mine was ordered in July and having been 'cancelled' and replaced like many others mine still says Ships Sept.

Don't worry you will most likely get it Friday. On occasion I have had stuff from Apple a few days early (Leopard for me arrived two days early via UPS). :D

For Australians, instead of delivery by 8/28 (US) ,ours ship by 8/28. Mine's hasn't been shipped yet, and there's 3 days until Snow Leopard. I don't want to go through the weekend and then receive it on Tuesday.

I ordered an UTD package last week and a $29 upgrade today. The UTD oder says ship by 8/28 using standard shipping and the $29 upgrade says delivered by 8/28 using priority shipping???

mine changed to:

:D

it doesn't seem to matter. I just spoke to a Apple chat person again today to ask when it would ship. They said UTD customers will be receiving it in September. UTD customers are not paying 9.995 for SL but for the shipping. So basically we are all paying 9.95 for an inferior shipping method compared to the free shipping offered by the retail one. Apple has never shown it's true disgusting attitude of customer service than it has today. Apple has dropped the ball and has killed any respect I had for them. You're only important to them when you're buying their $2000 computer. After that they'd rather toss your UTD package in a river and maybe it'll get to you by thanksgiving.
