So far no problem on 8.6b1, charging or anything else. Consistent 25-35% to 100% in 45-55 minutes using the Belkin fast charger.

Looks like I'm hopping back on the public beta train again, once it comes around...

8.6 beta fixed it for me!

Breaking my own "never install a beta 1" rule - here's to a smooth recharge tonight!

I updated to WatchOS 8.6b1 two days ago, and had two successful charges from 25-35% to 100% in under an hour, using the Belkin fast charger (I left Nightstand mode on). I was able to get the WatchOS beta installed without updating my phone to the beta, and have seen no issues with the beta in terms of features or battery life.

I wish I would have tried Nightstand mode before updating, but it’s too late to go back.
It’s been several days… still working as expected for you all?

As I posted yesterday, I've been very happy with WatchOS 8.6b1 in terms of the beta, and charging has been consistently fast using the Belkin faster charger. I updated to 8.6b2 when it dropped today - hopefully it doesn't undo anything good so far.

Looks like chose a bad time to get the new Belkin 3-in-1 charger. I thought my charger was defective when it only charged my AW7 ~10% after over an hour last night. On the plus side, it's good to see the 8.6 beta seems to have fixed it. I'll wait until the official release though.

I think you picked a good time - at least you know there's a fix coming. I ended up on the phone with Belkin for hours, unpairing and re-pairing, finally getting a new product that did exactly the same thing. Then today, the charge for the replacement hit my credit card even though they got the old product back last month. So yeah, a few weeks later would have been perfect, but a few weeks earlier and it could have been worse... Welcome to the club!

FYI, WatchOS 8.6b2 has worked well for me in the last 24 hours - no weird current drain and quick charging at night.

I haven't had any issues with the beta either... Didn't get to try cell-service yet but might be able to check that later today... definitely no weird behaviour like random reboots or battery drain so far and fast-charging (or actually any kind of charging with the fast-charging-cable) works as expected... might also give the old standard-charging cable from the series 3 a shot to see, if it experiences any issues with that...

Happy to see 8.6 looks like it’ll finally fix this problem. It’s existed since 8.1 (at least that’s when I first noticed it).

Taken long enough to fix one of the major features of the S7 ?

I’m just wondering if anyone with the Belkin 3 in 1 have also found their iPhone hasn’t charged whilst on the MagSafe pad?

Never had issues until the latest iOS update but last week found that after my iPhone 12 Pro had sat on the pad for a few minutes it would stop charging. Turned it off and back on and charging resumed, now again this morning took it off the charger to find it on 17% and hadn’t charged overnight. Plugged in lightning cable and that was fine, rebooted phone again and charging on the MagSafe pad this evening without issue!

Also had an issue with my 2021 iPad Pro a few weeks ago plugged in usb-c charging cable woke up in the morning and despite showing as charging the battery the whole night it had only discharged further, turned off and back on and charging worked as expected.

Very odd!

I just got the new Belkin fast 3 in 1 charger. Had no problem with my 13 PM, but my watch S7 refused to charge. I had to install version 8.6b2. Both charge fine.

Decided to put 8.6 beta 4 on my watch after being annoyed with slow charging on my Belkin charger, seems to fix the issue.
