They wouldn't take the whole store down to change a graphic or add an 8 core Mac. If the US store goes down after midnight we'll know something big is happening.
It does indeed say Mac Pros with Power PC G5's....
Maybe Apple's website server has been hacked

The data support no conclusions as of yet. The absence of activity in the U.S. suggests that this could be... just an exercise.

Actually, like most of the world, everything is based on EST. Accept at Keynotes, most things are release between 10:00AM - 1:00 PM EST.

My god they've got a madman/woman on their hands. Within 10 minutes this information reached the internet(s). The actual thing could be released tomorrow.
What if it's another possibility? What if the leaker is trying to defect? Well, s/he has access to the web servers, which would give him/her good opportunity. He/she may be a contractor - may not work for Apple, so Apple might not even be able to sink her. And, tomorrow is Tuesday.
