On average I get a day out of my iPhone X “just - sometime have to charge while using it in bed on night” but I’m a heavy user. Always hitting the 8 hour usage mark and 16 hour standby. I’m a battery geek so have been consistently monitoring it. Always said I would be over the moon if I got 9 - 10 hours usage.

I updated to iOS 11.3 and now I have gained so much more battery life. I’m so pleased , on my first day testing I got over 10 hours usage . So pleased Apple have improved the battery life.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND UPDATING TO iOS 11.3!!!!!

Blown away by the iPhone X it’s so good. (Coming from iPhone 6)

Thank you Apple!!!!!!

I usually hear the exact opposite to your experience. The 8+ is usually the one that kills all the competition battery wise.
I’ve never had a phone which easily goes through 2 full days of use until I got the 8 Plus.
Maybe you achieved a faulty unit?

Thanks for your feedback.
I exchanged for another 8 plus and updated to the newest iOS. The battery is amazing and no more slow wifi issue.

I have noticed better battery life on my iPhone X on iOS 11.3 as well. It's about an hour more. It's still been only 2 days since I updated, so I need to watch it for a few more days to give a proper verdict.

I used my 8 Plus heavily today and now I’m about to put it on the wireless charger for the night...33 percent battery left with 8 hours and 20 minutes of usage! That’s amazing...and I’m on 11.3!

Second battery post :

I’ve continued monitoring my battery with the iPhone X and ios 11.3 and I have to say job well done. I use to get an average of 8 hours (heavy user) now I’m getting around 10. Can’t thank Apple enough for this iOS 11.3 update.

Last night I nearly hit the 11 hour usage mark!!! I put the iPhone in low power mode at 16% remaining. I’m so pleased with the iPhone X. It’s a massive jump from my iPhone 6.

I’m gonna hopefully stay on iOS 11.3 for as long as I can.

I only get 4 hours of usage with my X, is the battery defective? It shows 100% capacity.

It's probably software related. When this happens to me, I restore it using iTunes and set it up as new. That fixes it all the time.

Seems like u have charged ur phone more than one time... there is no way on earth iphone x can get this usage ... why don’t u show ur usage of apps and first screen shot! Or charge ur phone 100 percent and use it till 10 percent and snapshot the battery stats without charging up in between !

Got no reason to lie, I’m just a battery nerd. Just wanted to share this to the forum.

Ever since updating to 11.3 Im averaging 10 hour usage rather that just 8.

Thumbs up for iOS 11.3 !!

Randomly a couple days ago, my battery started draining like crazy on 11.3. I restarted my phone this morning and it seems better now. That was weird...

I bought my 8+ yesterday and so far I am impressed. It seems to be just as good as my 7+ and 6S+. I haven't really had a chance to use it a full day yet. I took it off the charger 11 hrs ago and it's still at 98% from just sitting there all those hours while I was sleeping.

My phone came with iOS 11.2.5 and so I didn't have to update my Apple watches to pair them. I don't want to update my phone or watches so that I can still use the watches with my 7+ and 6S+ which are on iOS 11.1.2 still. I've installed the TvOS profile on my 8+ so I won't be offered the upgrade.

I bought the unlocked 8+ so I can use it with my AT&T sim. T-Mobile won't unlock my 7+ yet because I ported out my main number to AT&T last week which wiped out the entire history that the phone was used on T-Mobile since buying it on November 27th so I have to use it on T-Mobile for 40 days before they'll unlock it.
