28th-2nd I couldn’t get the store to load on PC, iPhone or iPad until 12:06 and got my order in then for a 44 ss sb.
confirmation email here at 3:10 am est 44 sbss series 4 9-28-10-02, i might get bumped up??? hope so
I wouldn’t count on it. At least not by much. My guess and it’s just that a guess is they had some kind of problem with the stainless case. Maybe a tooling or milling issue that led to them being in short supply at launch. I’ve only seen a few people get launch day pick up and even less launch day delivery. So it’s not like there’s a ton going out.
It could have also been that Apple thought they wouldn’t sell as well as they have and put most of their manufacturering resources into the aluminum bodies.
I'm in the 9/28-10/2 group for the 44SS SB ordered at 3:09. I just checked using the UPS trick (tracking by reference using the Apple order number minus the last 2 digits) and up popped this result:
I got excited for a sec, but then realized it's going to New Orleans and I don't live anywhere near New Orleans, I'm in NYC. So this is some other lucky person's order, who has the same reference except for the last 2 digits.

Odd that it came up at all given you have to put in the delivery ZIP code. I figure that is a checking mechanism to validate the search query.
Additionally, looking into the "order number" on there, it is a later number than my order number. Not clue HOW these are generated, so I am not looking into it much. Just rather pointing it out.

I'm October 12-19th. 40mm Gold SS Gold Milanese Loop. I didn't order until like 8pm. Had no idea I was gonna get one til then. Hoping it gets bumped to a sooner date. Of course not launch. Apple online store is now showing not available for pick up instead of not available at certain slocations near me, so I'd say theyre putting in all their resources into getting those made and shipped out to us.
I haven’t seen any activity on this thread in a while. Has anyone with a 9/28-10/2 delivery date seen any type of activity yet?
I don’t believe anyone with a 44mm SS order got a 9/21 date when they ordered. Feels like a small delay.
It seems so because the default shipping date of SBSS was 9/28 as soon as the Apple store app went alive.
I've seen a few with 9/21 as well. I've also seen a few get their dates pushed back from 9/21 to our window. Definitely a short supply of SS models. I wonder if the stores will even get any.
I have seen it, but none in United States. Only people in the U.K. Again, from what I have seen. Also, I am talking from Apple, not other sources.
yea I would love to know if the store had any, but I dont know if I want to go through that hell. since you would have to wait overnight and we are all supposed to get ours in a week so its not that bad. sure it sucks...
I have my Xs pre-order pickup from 8 to 8:30AM at an Apple Store. I will see if they have any / can sell me one. If not, I will check at a Best Buy on my way home (since I do not have to go out of my way). But if neither of them have one, I am just waiting. I will search for some patience hah.
Ok yeah, it's possible that the ones I've seen are in countries other than the U.S.
Yeah, last time I ordered was the first gen watch, and ordered SBSS there too. Shipping times were really long for the SS, so I'm just relieved it's not like that again.
Do they have usually have 1 line for phones and watches? I haven’t been to an Apple store on release day since before they launched the watch.
