Good news for the SE.

However, this makes the iPhone 6/6+ a really weirdly-priced product right now (lesser specs than a SE except for the screen, and a higher price tag) - I assume this is only until the 6 goes away when the 7 is introduced.

The 10-inch "pro" should have 4 GB of RAM, tho.

Well my temptation towards the new iPad has significantly diminished. My iPhone's got the same amount of RAM and isn't marketed as a laptop replacement, not sure why Apple decided to undercut the RAM here.

Ah well, more money in the new MacBook-kitty.

all you had to do was give me an iPad air with pencil support, apple. instead you make this garbage half-assed "pro" device and jack up the price (by $250 in canada).

you lost an easy iPad and pencil accessory purchase with this move.

maybe i'm the only one, but maybe i'm not.

My Air 2 runs pretty good on 2GB RAM so I don't see this being a huge problem but why call it a "Pro" if you're holding stuff back. First we get the news that 9.7 Pro will be limited to USB 2 transfer speeds and now we're seeing it has half the RAM. Makes up for it though with superior cameras and a TrueTone screen...

Maybe they should have just called it the Air 3 as to not get it confused with the "real" iPad Pro. Just a thought.

I've always thought that the form factor of the 5/5s was the best out of any iPhones. I went from a 4s straight to a 6 and I'm highly considering getting an SE. When I'm at home I almost exclusively use my Air 2, so getting an SE is starting to look like more of a possibility.

I was really thrilled, and was planning to buy one, but not going to pay 900 euro for a 128gb ipad that doesn't even has more ram then a 400 euro costing ipad air 2....

Good news about the iPhone SE. I was thinking it would only come with 1GB of RAM. This'll mean it might well outperform the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus as it has much less pixels to push through to the screen. Battery life might also be better because of the same reason. I am so tempted to sell my iPhone 6s and get one of these.

Sold my 6s plus on swappa for $645 lol. Definitely getting one of these . Miss the comfort in my pocket.

Now my issue is what color to get ....

+1 I really was looking forward to the Pro, but with the new pricing (courtesy of our weaker dollar at the moment), we're sunk. Yes, it was unfair that we were able to buy iPad's cheaper than they could in the US (as they were priced only 10% higher than the US prices). 32GB just isn't enough space for most people. $1600 for a tablet is insane. Sorry guys, this isn't a MacBook!! (So, I picked up the 64GB Air 2 w Cellular - it'll last me a few years).

This sucks, with 2GB ram his is just an iPad Air 3, with pencil support.

I don't mind the underclocking, though selling a device as pro, with 1/2 the ram.....

Imaging the iPhone 6S plus getting 2Gb and 6s getting 1GB ram.

Apple is pulling a fast one here. The 12" with the 256GB is the true pro iPad, and I feel sorry for the early adopters who a few months ago almost paid the same for 128GB. Poor form Apple !!

Well, essentially, that's exactly what they gave you—an iPad Air with pencil support. PLUS the latest screen technology and 4K support in the upgraded camera.
