My credit card was charged immediately after preordering through AT&T. I'm not sure if they were just putting a hold on the funds or what. Either way it doesn't matter to me. If you don't have the money now then you most likely won't have the money in a week from now anyways.

Yep, just checked my account and indeed the money has been already taken out, no hold, no pending, gone gone gone....
I ordered through Premiere site for my company and received an order number (through confirmation email). I tried the link posted above to see my status on the regular AT&T site. It wouldn't accept the order number from my confirmation email, but when I tried again with just my mobile number...it worked fine, showed 32GB Black iPhone 4 quantity backordered 1.
It's showing Quantity Ordered: 1 for all 3 items (sim, freight, iPhone) and Quantity Back-Ordered for all 3 items (sim, freight, iPhone) on my status page as well..
I have one question for all the FAN customers who have unlimited data plan: Did the discount apply to the $30 ? I have both confirmation emails from this years and last years (3GS), it is listing the discount for last year but not this year.

I would not worry. As long as you see your order I bet your fine. Both Apple and AT&T were totally unprepared for the pr-release launch... But what's new.
Yes, under the data plan selection it says how much your discount is for each data plan... and the unlimited plan still has my 15% discount listed..
Yes, my discount has always applied to my data plan, but my understanding is that it varies FAN to FAN.
Both online when placing the order and in my confirmation email, it shows my 18% FAN discount.
