1) what evidence is there that he is a billionaire?
2) wasn’t there a report that, taking into account his inheritance, he actually did worse than if he just left the money in the bank?
I'm fairly sure he'll have done well out of this presidency...

And when does the US get what it deserves for spying on its people and the rest of the world?NO ! Apple must not do any such thing. China gets what it deserves, sorry.

How many Chinese live outside China? That’s how it will affect WeChat.Sure, making Apple and its customers take the hit, but how will it affect WeChat per se? WeChat is multi-platform and Apple has just about 15% of mobile phone OS market (the rest being Android), so how will penalising Apple for keeping WeChat on help?
1) someone else who quotes me says Trump is a billionaire.1) what evidence is there that he is a billionaire?

You obviously have been listening to Trump too much. What you say is just propaganda.
FYI 94% of Chinese support their government - far more than in any western ‘democracy’! If you had actually been to China you would know why.
And when does the US get what it deserves for spying on its people and the rest of the world?
... Why wouldn't you just download a different app...
The bottom line is that this is a matter of national security and it outweighs Apple’s desire to sell iPhones in China.
It’s in both our economic and national security interest to divest from China unless or until they play by the rules. Period. Millionaires and billionaires will make less money. I’m not shedding a tear. It’s not like they’ve fairly shared the profits they’ve made by offshoring manufacturing with those who lost their jobs or those who continue to work for these corporations. If they had it might be a different deal. It’s long past time for C level executives to take the same hit the middle class has and see how they like it.
100% of statistics from China can be trusted.
I admittedly am not very familiar with this app, but if the CCP can use it to spy on users, wouldn't this be a good reason to ban the app?
Its about time for the US to start protecting our properties as just like China and other countries. The US has the same right so no complaining about it.
Someone mess up by putting finger in the you know where spot. How again does wechat attack your property so that it needs protection?
How is the existence of WeChat a matter of national security? What evidence do you have to support this theory?
It’s a matter of national security because the Chinese government uses it to spy on people. How much time would you and your family spend in a “re-education” camp if you spoke out against your dear leader?
Exactly, what Edward Snowden has explained and got in serious trouble for. During a Joe Rogan / Snowden episode, he goes to explain how it has been happening way WAY before smartphones, how AT&T since the beginnings has records of any phone call made, made even easier by cell phones since they have unique identifiers (needed to be able to plug a call from one user to another) which is tied to a phone plan with an user who is tied to a credit card or bank account information, i.e. a lot of information accessible right there. I can’t remember properly this part, but all this information is stored on storage and servers some of them even what is now Amazon servers... there’s no hiding really except deciding to not use technology. The CCP can probably get to any app data that is stored in the country as do other countries’s spy agencies in their territories. Most mobile phone carriers worldwide can track their customers. There is nothing that stands out here other than the wish to hurt China by impacting a successful app.
On following posts and info I think I understood that the ban is also for any ISP and US networking server that handles, store or relays any data related to WeChat services. i.e. if I send a message from a WeChat app instance (let’s say from a sideloaded installation on a Samsung Android phone) the data service provider would just fail it and not forward it.The difference would be that Android users could easily side-load WeChat onto their phones.
