called twice, first guy didnt bite at all..said "there is no official apple case"

second guy "checked" to see if he could give me a free case and then said he couldn't..i pushed a little bit (in a nice manner, of course)..and he transferred me a to a specialist who then asked me a bunch of questions and finally said he'll ship me a bumper at no charge

Got 1, even gave a choice in colors... took black though.

At first the supervisor told me that "believe it or not, you are the reason you are losing signal!"

I always thought at customer service jobs, we were told to never blame our customers to their faces! He gave me some spiel about the electro pulses from our fingers are nullifying the signal :p :p

I called Apple Care and they offered me anything in the Apple Store around 75 dollars because I already bought the bumper. I ended up picking out the in-ear headphones; I'm sure no one will believe me, but figured I would share.

They offered me nothing except an apology and they said engineers are working on a solution and they don't know how long will it take. Then, I said it might take three months?? He said maybe I don't know!!!

Should call it the "I'm a whiner and think I deserve something for free" thread.

IF your phone is defective you will get it replaced for FREE. You do not deserve anything for free, to expect it is ridiculous. When you manufacture something in the numbers of the i-4, there is no doubt going to be some with issues. That is what a one year warranty is for. Of course this is my opinion, you may think different.

When I called all I asked for was a refund on my bumper that I purchased on Launch Day. But he said that I could pick out anything in the Apple Store as compensation for my inconvenience.

I can't believe some of you feel entitled to free items and furthermore are proud enough to post about it. Glad I am not like you :p

But the bumper is apple's official fix. If that is the case, and they cannot just fix the phone, this should be free

I was about to say the same thing. it's such a nice feeling knowing that we live in a "gimme gimmie! mine mine mine!" society. especially when it's not earned.

:(

Umm how do you figure that the bumper is the official fix?

And I agree that this should be the whiner thread...

I just called and got a free white bumper :D......I dont have reception issues at all...lol

honestly that thing is made with like 50 cents.... with one person purchasing one they can give 50 of those out. plus i think keeping a customer happy is more important than anything when it comes to business

Yeah there always have to be the people to rush to the corporations side.

Is it really wrong to accept a colored rubber band from a company that many of us contribute many dollars to a year? Now if they weren't profiting so extensively, maybe I would feel differently.

But $30, for a .20 cent product? ... I think those of you think it is so wrong to do this have other things that require more worrying.
