I woke up this morning (10 mins ago) and got on my favorite website (macrumors) to see the joy of Apple finally issuing a public statement saying their formula for calculating bars is wrong. To put it short, they believe covering the phone doesn't do anything to deter service, basically you never had service in the first place. To say the least I was very irritated that Apple would go out again and say something so stupid and arrogant that I actually called Apple to get a response or some sort of compensation. They were not help but directed me to AT&T for compensation. Just got off the phone with AT&T and the lady was so nice and helpful, as was I lol, I did not go on a tirade, that she took $25 off my bill that was due in a couple days. I even got a text saying that she did. So all in all I am happy but still a little peeved at Apple and the way they handle things. But, I'll be enjoying my new case.

To me this whole policy change of not giving free bumpers for reception issues anymore is kinda BS.

In the beginning of this whole mess I decided to not clog up their support line until more info came into light about the issue. I wanted to keep my iphone naked and was hopeful for another fix that would allow that.

After this morning's official statement it doesn't look promising that I will be able to hold my phone however I want to and have conversations on my phone inside my house. So now that I have accepted I will have to put a bumper on my phone, I have to pay the $30 for a case that I don't want to use anyway and probably costs apple less than $1 to make. If I would have thrown a fit and not waited calmly with confidence in apple's customer service I would have already received my free bumper by now.

If one person got a free bumper for signal issues then everyone who has the same issue should get the same treatment...

Ya snooze, ya lose.
