i odnt even know where to buy this aside from ebay

Mom and pop sell crap like that, it might be limited to e-bay at first but it will soak into those stores eventually. i seen this guy trying to sell people fake iPhones as the real deal. i had to tell a few that actually bought one that you just paid $200+ for a fake. Sad

One tried to argue that it was real. but that's when my friend shown them his iPhone (boy was they pissed, but they can only be pissed off at themselves for being that stupid).

I don't understand how stuff like this is newsworthy. Is it just so we can poke fun at other companies copying designs? It's always going to happen. Can we give it a rest?

I'm waiting for an antenna that is attached to a helium balloon feeding out from a little electric fishing reel inside the iPhone. No battery needed, simply let it out during thunder storms or across power wires.

Wow! Not bad, but the interface shots show that there's still "some" way to go before they catch up with the iPhone.

Still, looks much better than most Android phones. Look out, google!

One thing Google isn't afraid of is the iPhone, or it's knockoffs. And I'll take the design of most any of the newer google phones over the god-awful upcoming iPhone design. I'll also take the ability to use the phone on any network other than ATT.

A counterfeit/copy that is released before Apple even releases their own product. More ammunition for Apple's attorneys when they eventually file a civil suit against Chen/Gizmodo/Gawker.

(Yes, I realize there have been other leaks. But none of those leaks would have been considered nearly as reliable if not for the initial revelations by Gizmodo.)

"Hang on, I've got a call. Let me pull up my antenna first."

That made me chuckle....

Guess we are going back in time now :(

Oh yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Steve showcases an entirely different backup version of the new iPhone.... Would really suck for all these manufacturers that have already started making cases for the new iPhones. Guess there will still be a market for them with this knock-off iPhone.

Wait until you've actually seen a production model up close and personal before you make that sort of judgment; you'll likely change your mind. Apple may make the occasional product that turns out to be a flop, but nowadays, it never makes anything that's ugly.

F#@& you Gizmodo!

... Good job on the leak!... Great Job on the Leak... Deserve to disappear, go bankrupt... Now we all understand why Apple is making their products a secret...

... To each his bad taste in things

Dude: I would love to see your home interior... Care to share pics with us?

We cannot even get Flash to work on Apple, or AT&T to work well without dropped calls, so..... maybe this phone isn't much worse. And it has an Antenna, so maybe works well in NY & SF...... along with the removable battery to make up for Flash Battery Drain....:)

+1 Insightful

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the app names appear to be in Portuguese? Does that mean it's for sale in Macua, or from Macau?

I'm pretty sure that antennae is for TV, not for cell reception (correct me if I'm wrong); many overseas phones I have seen with that antennae usually have television as a feature (at least analog).

It will also take the approach that every popular linux distribution has taken so far: Cheap windows-esque graphics/UI. Not recommended for the visually oriented.

I love these things. The cloners are great: a TV antenna? WTF?!!

If I ever collected anything Apple related, it would be these crazy clones.

Just awesome.

I got my 4th Generation iPhone 2 months ago on Canal Street in Manhattan. I had one minor issue so I called Apple-Care and they refused to help me out.

the chinese, again…

I ponder, when are these bloody ghengis khans going to counterfeit my feces? Dirty, opportunistic, animal-abusing, immoral slime! Of course, there are exceptions to the rule (e.g. very proper Chinese who oppose cruelty, copycat-like essence and other vile properties that make up the bulk of south-eastasian mentality).

Wouldnt it be ironic if this was actaully the "prototype iPhone" and we get a whole new design in june.

Yes, it appears they can…

Can the Chinese do anything without copying others?

Yes, here's a list:

abuse tigers, leopards, dogs, cats, rhinos, apes, snakes and any imaginable life form that has the misfortune of sharing this planet with the them. Any but their own. If they had the technology, they could even dare an attempt of enslaving superior races just as they've been enslaving superior animals.
