Yes, please elaborate? I buy most all Apple products from computing to my iPhone, but I have quite the list of reasons! So again can you elaborate how we, as consumers, buy blindly just because it's Apple?
Its because Apple products are so far much better quality and UI on all Apple products, easy, smooth and C.S service that no company comes close to!
So yes, you could say that I buy Apple blindly:cool::apple:

No no no....I think you misunderstood me! My comment was in a form of question to other MC user who did agree that people blindly buy apple products and did admit that himself buys iPhone models one after another because of 1,2,3 reasons. I don't personally agree that people would blindly just through over £500 simply because it's Apple. So i wanted to know why he thought others buy Apple products blindly for no reason, and the user himself/herself would consider the reasons.

I don't get why rumor sites Insist so much on this being the next iPhone... Perhaps these people don't understand apple's design principles at all?

I hope I'm not the only one who thinks the shell is plain ugly... ;)

I probably won't be buying it but I find that pictures never give enough credit of a design.

I really thought that the S3 was butt ugly when it was presented but when I saw one in real life, it was not that bad after all.

Headphone jack...

I would probably buy this upgrade for no reason other than the headphone jack being moved to where it should have been in the first place...

The iPods have used it for a long time (Admittedly, not from the start), and it all of a sudden sucks? Could you explain?

Not really - shuffle has it on top (more or less) and the classic also. Touch does have it at the bottom and that makes sense because there are no speaker at the top so why run a connection there.

I also don't own or use iPods - i use my iPhone. I can see it makes sense because most of the circuits for the audio is at the bottom, but it's counter to the way I use it (beside me in the car or in a shirt pocket) and the headphone jack will be in the way now - You will also have to remove the headphones when the phone is docked - that's annoying. The docking thing is a rather bad design choice imho.

If Apple would allow the screen to rotate or have Siri announce incoming calls it would solve most of it for me.

I like many of the features of this prototype, if that is indeed what it is, but I have to disagree with you about the headphone jack. Aside from its awesomely awkward position, I hope that future docks won't have to have a jack for the audio (via the headphone jack) and a jack for the new mini-connector (everything else).

Not looking forward to a metal back on the iPhone 5. Whenever I take my iPad outside in the cold the metal back gets very cold to the point where it's uncomfortable to hold. I don't know whether anyone else has experienced this problem. Presumably they don't have this problem in California.

I don't think thats an isue. If its not in your worm pocket, it is in your worm hand. Unless you are using it in Siberia, Antarctica or North pole :D

Bummer about all the leaks. They just give Samsung "designers" more time to "analyze" the competition.

And what exactly would they copy? A longer iPhone? No change in the basic format whatsoever, from what I can see it's just extending the tried and tested formula to accommodate the larger screen.

I'm with you

I'm with you and I understood you completely, I must have put it together wrong? I was talking to the same person you were because I agreed with you and was just trying to help you drill it home to that knuckle head! I'm sorry it came off wrong but again I was with you and of same opinion!:apple:

Tell me, how do you know it's the same people who initially complained about the design, now loving it? This forum, as you may very well know, it's full of Apple fans and Apple haters. I would even say 50/50.

Well I'm just thinking after each early leak pics, the overwhelming vibe and response was, FUGLY! That, vibe has somewhat changed. Now your hearing a lot of "It's growing on me." Which would imply that they didn't like it at first. You don't have to be Sherlock to figure that out.

You know, with as much logic that is going into this design, I still find it aesthetically distasteful. I'm afraid nothing will change that, unless the release ends up much different than this one.

Ok, I see. But wouldn't be that the ones liking it now or saying "It's growing on me" are the ones who did reserve their opinion before or did already like it? ;) May not be as easy to tell.

Anyway, after reading so many comments in here i do somehow agree with you. I read quite few saying they did hate it before and now they do like it.

If they use stainless steel then they really screwed up, steel is much heavier than aluminum. I REALLY doubt they're going to use steel considering Macbooks are made of aluminum.

The 4 and 4S both use steel for the band around the phone. I think it's likely that at least the top and bottom edges of the band on the new design are steel.

Steel may be a lot heavier but it's also far stronger. It would be more durable and you don't want your phone getting dented.

That's what the industrial designer speculated that this shell may be made of. The band on the 4 and 4S is stainless steel.

Ok, fair enough, thought it would be much heavier than aluminium, never heard of a all stainless steel phone before.

I was wondering about that too. If you could machine the frame really precisely, really thin, might you not be able to make a phone from the more durable steel but still have it be fairly light?

Weight is not a major concern for me. I'd take stronger and thinner over lighter by softer.

Well one of us doesn't! lets wait and see...

See you back here sept 12 :)

How much more would titanium cost? That sounds much cooler. Stainless steel sounds like a towel rail and aluminium reminds me of a coke can
