I've sneezed by my iPad Air with the case and it's fallen over, not from shaking a table or anything like that, but because of the wind that made it past my hands and hit the iPad.

Apple does many things brilliantly, but I am not about to hold my breath (no pun intended) for their magnets being good. I pray because I am getting the Milanese Loop or not getting one at all.

The magnets on smartcovers must be weak enough to allow for ease of removing and reattaching as this is done repeatedly throughout the day. On the other hand, most people put on their watches once and wear them all waking hours. Common sense will tell you Apple will use stronger magnets on the loops.

The link band looks absolutely brilliant. Too bad it's soooo expensive. Still love the milanese loop on the SS. I'll probably buy a rubber band for exercise. Anyone notice that when you buy an extra rubber band, it says it comes with both sizes? Interesting.

These pictures are leaning me towards the Classic buckle, over the leather loop.

Decisions Decisions!

This convinced me to buy the SS with black sport band. I will probably add the milenese loop and modern leather buckle eventually because they are beautiful. But the sport band will be a good starting point so I can tell people I'm not spending THAT much on a 1st gen smart watch :D

This is the best logic I've heard so far, I might do the same.

Anyone noticed the different finish between metal bands and watch SS cases?

In watch industry standards when you buy an "all metal" watch the watch+band finish are the same.

The way Apple did seems you bought like a brand A watch and then a brand B band....

Even with the Milanese Loop (or the ultra expensive Link band (449)), the parts that connect to the watch case (SS) are in a different finish than the band)...Uggly

I was a fan of the link bracelet until I saw a comparison of the old Casio watches. I can't unsee it. When I look at it, I really do agree with some other posts that said it looks like you're dad's friend's watch in the 80's who worked at NASA. Maybe I'll change my mind in person, but if I get one, it'll be sport band (working out) and Milanese loop. I'll get a leather band if Apple states publicly that bands will be future proof at least 1-2 generations.

Hey now get the quote right! :p

It looks like a watch band your best friend's dad who worked at NASA in the 60's would wear.

Do many ipad users take their covers off repeatedly? Why? I almost never take mine off (I open it repeatedly, but that isn't the same thing). It falls off fairly often, but it is a fairly large and heavy thing to hold with a few small magnets. The watch bands will be much smaller and lighter.
