Hi

I see many threads with concerns regarding their iPhone X. I understand the more problems you have the more you post, if you are simply happy with it most of the people don't come to post to any forum.

In my case I would like to post a thread about how happy I am with my X. I am coming from a S7 Edge and previously an iPhone 6. I love the way my iPhone X works, I had some concerns with the battery life but after another day of quite intense work I am at 5h30mins usage (mostly calls and emails), 11h standby with a 37% battery, so not bad.

Apart of the battery I love everything else, the look, the feelings (smoooooth), the gorgeous screen, the new gestures (i already loved moving from the bottom for multitasking on my iPad Pro) and FaceID (works amazing!). So, overall, a great phone so far.

Count me in, I couldn't be happier! iPhone X replaced a 6S+ (liked it a lot, but it was always too big to handle), and I am so pleased with the new phone. Size, screen, everything. Not concerned with battery life, I always have a way of charging it, even if it means carrying a portable external battery.
Great work Apple!

I agree the iPhone X is a great device, i love the screen watching HDR movies on it is just brilliant. Face ID works really well (i've tested it in the dark, on my desk and at angles, it works brilliantly), battery life may settle down for you depending how new your iPhone X is?

As for the iPad Pro i'm hoping Apple put Face ID on it next year and remove some of the bezels, i think it would be great.

That’s quite a coincidence, I happen to be on the same path as well. iPhone 6 —> S7 Edge —> iPhone X.

For some unknown reason while listening to music through the music app locally. It started heating up draining battery fast in the process. Have to stop and shut down the phone, let it cool and boot up again. After going through a DFU restore and setting up as new, it’s been doing fine now.

Apart from that, I do enjoying using the X as my daily driver.

I'm very happy with my X. Coming from iPhone 7 it's a nice upgrade for me. Battery life is amazing screen looks gorgeous. Face-ID works perfectly fine.

I am happy with my X
great battery life
face id works - almost as it should
I like the all screen button-less look
the phone is fast
I like the gesture control - it feels natural, I just hate reaching up for the notification centre on the top right - they need to sort that out - for one handed use.

I was extremely skeptical of the X, mainly of Face ID and loss of home button, however I got one (256gb Space Gray) and I have to say I'm more than pleasantly surprised.

I've had it about a week, some quick thoughts:

-Face ID has vastly exceeded my expectations. I set up with my glasses on and it works every time. Went to Ravens game last night with a knit cap on and Face ID worked every time I went to unlock/look at my phone. We shall see how it works/responds in the Spring/Summer when I coach a lot of baseball and I have a hat and Oakley sunglasses on.
-Have not missed home button one bit. Swiping up is smooth and easy.
-Screen is gorgeous.
-Wireless charging works great.
-Notch never bothered me and does not after using for a little while.
-I've been a Plus user since the first one was introduced and I have to say I love the smaller form factor of the X without having to compromise on screen size. The X slid right in my jeans pocket last night and I barely noticed it was there.

I'm not saying it's for everyone, but as noted above I was very skeptical. However, after using the X for a week in many real use situations for me, it's very much worth the hype.

Love the gestures (home button not missed)
Love Face ID (wouldn't want to go back to Touch ID)
Love the battery life
Love the larger display on a smaller body. Although I am used to this on Galaxy S8. which btw does have amazing display too.
iOS is very smooth on the X.
Overall, happy happy happy.

Facial recognition lacks security, unlike my wallet in my back pocket. Lol

I love my X. Glad I dumped the 8+

I’m having loads of fun with mine. Don’t even miss Touch ID or 3 years of using a plus size.

Between the screen, the 4K video, the speed and Face ID, I haven’t had this much fun with an iPhone in years.

I lost 45 pounds dropped 6 inches on the waist.

The + with a case fit in my clown pants, not so well in my new size. The X with a leather case is perfect.
