iPhone 8/Plus A year later.. those that went from Plus to X

I went from 7 plus to x and while screen size was fine I jumped at the chance to get the XS max
It was usually big enough. I never regretted the choice, the upsides of the X outweighed the downsides for me. I'm getting a Max.
I’m getting a Max after having every Plus model then moving to the X last year.
Went from 7+ to the X last year, the small screen of the X has bugged me since. Happily preordered the XS Max and can not wait, it's been far too long not having all those landscape split view options, being able to see desktop versions of websites with no problem, seeing more detail in pictures and videos, being able to fit more text/information on the screen, etc, etc. I can't wait.
Hated the move from my plus to the X but I’ve stuck it out for the year. Can’t wait to get my Max.
I was at the store the other day and the difference in usable area is very noticeable
6+ for 3 years, miss the big screen more than I thought I would. Ordered silver 256 max. Hoping to keep it for 3 years again. Really no issues with my X love it but couldn’t resist a bigger screen.
It has been fine. The narrowness of the X screen versus the Plus was the only real change that took some getting used to. I’m all for a phablet screen though so Max was a no brainer Upgrade for me.
Went from a 7plus to an X last year. Didn’t have a huge issue with the size until I started to watch a lot of videos on my X, the black bars are very noticeable, and stretching to fit the screen is nice but really cuts out a lot of content. Loved the rest of the phone though so it wasn’t a game-changer for me, and the quality of the OLED screen compared to other devices really set it apart. I’ve been using a 6s plus from a friend as a placeholder until my max comes, and really enjoying the bigger size and the way videos completely fit the screen is oddly satisfying lol. So when the Max was announced I jumped at the chance.
Keeping my 8 plus for another year I like the home button. I know next year I will have to move to Face ID but for now I’m happy and phone still fast no lag suits my needs
Went from 7 Plus to X. For me, it's the perfect size. I doubt I will upgrade, as the X just fits my usage pattern so well. Big enough for reading but small enough to one-hand.
I am on record that I LOVE TID.
My wife loathes FID on her X & I don’t like the idea of it.
WTS, after a year and a half in Florida (we were in SoCal) I can see a case for FID. After a workout, just walking around during the summer it’s sweat city here in north FL. It’s not uncommon to have wet fingers and TID not work.

I was on the 6+, 6s+, 7+ and then the X. Staying with the Xs this year.
The smaller overall size is just much better to me and I'm 6'3 with "giant sausage fingers"
as my wife says.
My main usage has changed a bit from my phone being my primary device to an increase of laptop usage.

I've enjoyed my X, but I've wanted an X Plus (Max) since last year. Looking forward to the Max!
Yes. Going to try the XsM. I’m hesitant because the biggest benefit of going from the Plus to the X was that it is more pocketable and so much easier to carry around, almost without a thought whereas the Plus was always just awkwardly large and heavy. In that regard alone the X is just brilliant.
The XsM may be a step back in time that just does not work...we’ll see.
The X always felt too small to me. I contemplated several times exchanging the X for an 8 Plus. I'm very much looking forward to that giant XS Max.
I love the physical dimensions of the X.
I do miss that little bit of horizontal screen space, though.
I like reading lot online, so the MAX will be welcomed by me for that reason.
