Apple doesn't utilize the iphone's full capability. It's not the consumers fought. Other phones can do split screen, PIP, VR, convert to a PC, HDMI/mhl support, multitasking, real file manager, mouse/trackpad support, and stylus capabilities and still get stellar ratings and reviews. Apple forces it's fans to support face recognition and AR. Seriously besides the OLED screen and heavily criticized design. This is not that much of a upgrade. In terms of Touch ID, it may be a downgrade.

By not allowing them to do any of what's mentioned above, they will never utilize it's full capabilities since Apple limits the consumer.

Although you're fairly technical with what you're referring too, my point was based on a real experience, the iPhone has an immense amount of power, it's just the average consumer likely doesn't utilize that with social media applications, gaming applications, and or the Forms of media. Even if the average consumer could take advantage of the iPhones full capabilities, I doubt a majority do.

You are right in regards to advanced gaming and advanced application use. Alot of consumers dont even bother with it on both Android and iOS.

That's probably why the iPhone is the new standard in enterprise: because Apple "limits the consumer" and "never utilize it's full capabilities".

And yeah, the iPhone X is a clear downgrade!

You're probably right. But please do not spoil the show.
As consumers, we are the indispensible microns of a massive iBuyingHerd supposedly there to satisfy a few mega-corporation's insatiable money-thirst - to which critical insight can only be a burden. Better train your appreciative following for those jeans-wearing billionaire messiah's that decide what you're allowed to do - whether you like it or not.
Applaud or perish...

Correct but you surely don't want the iPhone to be the Blackberry of the future. That is what happens when you start to limit the consumer and focus on Enterprise.

But it makes samsung fanboys with only samsung stuff(according to your signature) come all the way to apple based forums to tell us so.

I am sure you have something better to do with all your limitless hw and software than coming over here.
I can post here using an iphone too. WOW! Mind blowing!

How can you focus on enterprise with offering better and more flexible apps, and limit consumers at the same time?

BB’s demise was caused by not moving away from the physical keyboard , limiting screen space , and have no touch controls. They should have copied apple. They should have had an internal memo “ look more like iphone” and follow up on that.
MMM sounds familiar....

Nope, you have it wrong. I was a former Apple enthusiast here and gave Apple plenty of chances. The time had came and I haven't looked back ever since.........

I was all for it and defended it as well. Only reason I still post is because I still enjoy technology and this is ultimately a tech forum even if some are obsessed with just Apple. Plus, you guys are most interesting when a new iPhone is being released. I like giving you guys my viewpoints even if you like it or not. I'm always multitasking trust me, I'm not just posting. By October, you will never hear from me till sometimes next year with the next new iPhone or iPad release.

Ultimately I'm here to inform the misinformed.

Machine learning and AR are going to need a lot of CPU horsepower, A11 will be a monster. Hopefully they'll put the same SoC on all models

This proves that Apple is doomed! Who cares about some chips. This is not innovation. Innovation is making phones with curved screen. /s

Imagine what the A11X will be. Next year's iPad Pros would be beasts. Yet people will continue bashing Tim Cook, despite the fact that the old 6S still beats the Galaxy S8.

You seem to confuse interface choices as having something to do with "power". Interface choices have nothing to do with power.
  • Split screen: this is already done, but on the iPad because splitting a small screen is of limited value
  • PIP: this is already done, but on the iPad since having PiP on a small screen is of limited value
  • HDMI support: this is practically already obsolete in the age of Airplay and Chromecast. Might as well add a VGA port. And there's always a dongle if you need one
  • Multitasking: are we really still arguing about this like we're back on iOS 9? What multitasking are you doing on Android that you're not accomplishing on iOS?
  • Real File Manager + Mouse/trackpad support: iOS is an OS with 2 basic underlying philosophies: a touch (finger) interface and an application-centric rather than file-centric approach. If you take either of these away you just have Mac OS X. Apple already makes plenty of devices that use OS X.
  • Stylus capabilities: we know exactly how Apple feels about stylus support by how the handle the Apple Pencil: an option for special cases, not something you need everyday on your phone.
Your idea of progress for a phone is to turn it into an old laptop. Why look backwards?

Because it would require vision and original thought and not a “lets throw everything at the wall and see what sticks approach”. Remember when not having a Pico-projector was surely a sign that Apple weren’t innovating? o_O

It's pointless talking to these trolls. They basically want a phone that can download pirated materials via torrent. They will make all these excuses forever. Ignore the fact that the Snapdragon 835 still has a hard time beating the A9 and A10.

I cannot imagine what kind of beast the A11X will be.

Heck, people were complaining how not innovative Apple was simply because iOS didn't have animated wallpaper, unlike Android. That's how shallow they are.

Don’t forget pirated ROMS. “Look guys I can emulate an N64 but not possibly actually play it on a touchscreen. Take that CRAPPLE”

Sorry, but i don' t need salvation, and i think a lot here agree to that.

There is a really bizarre fixation on seeing wallpaper too. Apparently seeing wallpaper is more important than having applications available.

My brain nearly melted attempting to fully comprehend this article at 4:00 AM, but this is freaking impressive stuff. As previously stated, if Apple’s chip team remains at the helm, we’ll be enjoying mobile powerhouses for years to come.

And the OnePlus 5 beats the iPhone 7. So what's your point here?

Remember people, as many have said here.

Spec's don't matter ;)
Unless your vision is impaired of course...
[doublepost=1505205141][/doublepost]Nice to see this article explaining the technology. More of this kind of article would be great.
