A5 ios 5.0.1 jailbreak

Update to 5.0.1 if u dont care about unlock 5.0 for unlockers only but bare in mind that jailbreak will be released for 5.0.1 before 5.0 is taking care of

Upon seeing the title I had a mini almost pre-nocturnal like omission in my pants. Then I read next week or so and it was then reduced to a semi. Either way, stoked!!!
I think that u wud be safe to update to 5.0.1 even if u are looking for unlock(I've gotten mine thru Vzw bu would still like to be able to use it on carriers in the states((if that's possible..idk)). I say that because pod2g would likely not tell u to update to 5.0.1 and MN working on a unlock for 5.0 users only will be a tiny percentage of all iPhone users once it is, if ever released. I also say that bc I'm a optimist and my wife hit update so I just want the unlock to up the resale value for the next iPhone lol. Speaking of which, if unlock were available via ultrasn0w for 4S, would Vzw users be able to insert say, AT&T or t-Mo sim and run with it? In other words use it?

verizion and Sprint will be able to unlock out of country but not with GSM networks in US AT&T t-mobile think of it as a non compete clause. also a Verizon phone can't be transferred to Sprint or vice versa.
So if we are on 5.0 and are looking for an unlock (which I know we have no confirmed news on as of yet), what are our options? How can we preserve our baseband so we can upgrade to 5.0.1 for jailbreak and be able to unlock in the future? Should we upgrade to 5.0.1 and wait, or should we not upgrade?
If you want the unlock wait till musclenerd says it's ok to update or they prepare redsnow or pwnage tools to preserve the 5.0 baseband. update to 5.0.1 only if you are not worried about the unlock. the catch 22 though is if apple comes out with 5.0.2 and stops signing 5.0.1 then you might be sol on the jailbreak.
so update to 5.0.1 and jailbreak...and if the chance arises you need unlock. you can buy that now!
i REALLY wish musclenerd would just give us the word of whether to stay on 5.0 or not. It would alleviate the anxiousness that alot of people are having.

Yeah that is why i commented it might be longer or shorter but i am sure if Pod made a comment like that he must be pretty certain because it becomes gospel once these devs say anything.

I assume you are talking about an unlock, so you would just have to decide what is more important to you.
To me its a JB..... who knows maybe a new Gevey sim will be released soon?
IT IS NOT FREE... Its donation based.... Apple doesn't give free iPhones, why should jailbreakers give free stuff. That is the reason why jailbreakers go to work and no longer develop jailbreaks!
