What I hate is when they cancel a serial show without allowing it to wrap up. Good example is The Sarah Connor Chronicles. At least bring them back to film a wrap-up episode or something. Defying Gravity, same thing. Firefly, same thing (though we did get a movie out of it). I reluctantly get invested in shows like this for fear they'll get cancelled without a conclusion. I'm sure others feel the same way.

I am a long-time LOST fan and recently discovered Flashforward. I LOVE it and I really don't know why it's been getting the low ratings that it has. I am upset that it's ending. But I just discovered "The 4400" and think it's really similar so that is my replacement.

Try The 4400. I think it has 2 seasons thus far and I am only 3 episodes in and love it.

My wife and I started watching this show a couple of years??? ago. It just dissapeared also. Did another network pick it up? It used to be on TBS?

I stopped watching Caprica after a couple of episodes. I will miss Lost when it's done, yeah. It's the only show I go out of my way to watch (on Hulu) each week when there's a new episode.

*sneaks back out of thread, as he has no idea what Flash Forward is*

Give it a few more episodes...it really picks up and lays the groundwork for the cylon tech and concepts in BSG...

Same thing with Dollhouse. Just let it die.

It was on USA and they canceled it before resolving anything. They did the same thing to the show The Dead Zone.

I used to be a big fan of Heroes and Scrubs (which they're also canceling). Heroes got confusing around Season 3, as it seemed almost every other person had powers now. And then theres Sylar who was dead, but then he really wasnt, but then he kinda was, and then they killed him, but then he came back but wasnt really the Season 1 Sylar and ohuwdibfiiwfbqefduqwyed80 2qr9lu1ipr9 t806doywbics.

You get the point.

Scrubs needed to end. After season 7 it just got stupid.

I do. And it's sad. Srcubs Season 8 wasn't that bad. Season 7 was s**t, 8 got it back to it's roots and Season 9 is indescribably worse then 7. I never abandon a TV show I've watched more than a whole season of, but I dropped Heroes after following for 3.5 seasons. And:

ohuwdibfiiwfbqefduqwyed80 2qr9lu1ipr9 t806doywbics.

Should be synopsis of Heroes.

I watched the first half, but when it started back up i just didnt feel like it was worth my time :-/

what they should have done with flashforward is design it as a single-season show, with some open window for additional seasons if it was a hit.
not only the season would be complete, but it would be a success afterward in dvd sales

Fox really screwed up firefly. They showed it out of order, and they kept moving its time slots. At least firefly was not as bad as a show like flash forward because for the most part firefly each episode was mostly self contained. You did not need to watch the ones to understand what was going on. I liked in firefly how they linked almost every show together with out requiring you to watch the one before it to understand it.

Another show that got screwed up was Drive. Not that I expect it to last but fox canceled it before even airing the 3rd one and the left it completely hanging.

Personally I hate when the broadcast company screw over a show and it is 100% the broad caster fault for the poorer ratings. Firefly being the prime example. It was shown completely out of order, in moving time slots and then they would put it head to head against a hit show of the target audience. I think in firefly caste they put it against Star trek. On a new show like that you never put it head to head with with the hits from your target audience.

I will saw the way TV is run now is completely different that while ago. It seems now we run more year round in TV shows. You have your fall season and your summer season with different shows in those same time slots.

I loved lost, but after the first season.......everything was confusing :confused::p:p

never got the plot...

they want to leave the island, go back to the island, and then leave, and then go back:eek:

ehh..

i saw the first episode of flashfoward, but it faded.....didn't get interesting.;)

V.....nvr saw the point to it:rolleyes:

Flash Forward started out with an interesting idea and the first few episodes were strong. Just before it went on hiatus it started to get stupid and it seemed the writers were looking for ways to extend the story.

I think this idea would have made a better movie than a serial.

I think the hiatus and the fact they strayed too far away from the novel hurt it also.

Steve Jobs caused Flash Forward to get cancelled. ABC has green lighted HTML5 Forward for next season.

Watched a few episodes but couldn't get into it either. Seems like the next big thing people are trying is a show about humans going back in time (with dinosaurs in tow) with the 24 writers at the helm called Terra Nova. Somebody is trying to pick up the losties.

I made the decision to delete the episodes in iTunes last night. I know I wasted all that money but I can't see watching something that will have no ending.

I did buy season 7 of 24 since it is only $39 for the HD version. I was waiting to buy it till it went on sale.

4400 was good but really fell apart in the last season IMHO. The follow up books, while a bit pulpy and silly, did a nice job of continuing the story though.

Awe really? I just discovered it. Been watching every day. I'm midway through season 2. Although I'm not sure you can consider "Season 1" a season with just 5 eps, lol.

I was iffy with FlashForward, so I'm not to sad that it is ending, but I am glad V is returning even though not that many people like/watch it.

So with Flash Forward cancelled, Lost ending, and V renewed, will V get Lost's time slot?

I personally hope so, but Fox has two new shows airing during the 9 time slot, so I don't know.
