...easy to feel and see the difference. Not saying its not a worthy upgrade. Just pointing it out. I, for one, prefer the feel of the 2 MUCH better.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B179 Safari/7534.48.3)

It is noticeably heavier but it doesn't bother me.

When I first picked it up I thought wow this is heavy. An hour later. Just feels normal. Not heavy at all.

price paid for LTE battery life.

i'm sure apple didn't want to make it heavier, but all the other LTE mobile devices out there have shocking battery, so i guess they had no choice.

well, either that or drop LTE...

Feel of the 2 MUCH better for less than 2 ounces and half a mm, lol.

Can you imagine this conversation 10 years ago?

The Marware CEO Hybrid or Otterbox Reflex don't fit it. It's a stretch for Apple to claim that all cases fit.

    The difference is virtually unnoticeable

    ----------

Since when did Apple claim that all cases would fit the new iPad?

I'll take weight with a 10hr battery on this quality of a device any day.

I read it on the boards here. A guy was told that by am employee, but I should've worded it better. There's employees at Apple stores that don't know what they're talking about sometimes.

ditto - Im not sure if I like the tapered edges. Think I was so use to my iPad 1 it makes the new iPad feel weird.

P.S. I love the new iPad

Absolutely noticeable coming from the iPad 2. My 12 year old son noticed it immediately as well.

    This.

After I used the iPad for an entire day I didn't notice the difference in weight or thickness anymore

The weight, yeah I noticed a little bit. But the thickness, c'mon. It's hardly if at all noticeable.

    These threads are SO pointless.

It has twice the friggin size of a battery ok .... its thicker cause it has more and has a full damn retina display.

    Really people? .

Funny how we all want TONS more from apple in these but yet go insane cause of the TINIEST gain in weight and size!

And you noticed the Thickness :rolleyes::confused: Just one the Dumbest things I've heard said on here today.

I know you just feel the compulsive need to create threads bit do so with things that are important next time and stop you friggin whining about Every Little Thing!

Moving from iPad 1 to the "new iPad", the weight difference is negligible, but the speed makes it worth it. No more lags. I'm a happy camper!
