They just seem to have 0 stock.

What annoyed me is they said "available 24th" - not one watch actually said "delivered 24th" on the home page.

They literally stocked only 5000 black sports. This is some BS waiting till mid may.

Literally.

I thought it was very smooth. The fact that the site/app was responsive so quickly and didnt fail during checkout or when choosing payment method, etc.

My order was a piece of cake. Had to put my address in on the fly for apple pay but still got a quick delivery. The app worked beautifully and did seem to come up automatically when the store was ready.

If you had favorites it was easy to see shipping availability.

BTW: 4-6 weeks on both 42mm ss sport band models now

First, they said it begins shipping on the 24th. Second, my shipping estimate is 4/24-5/8.

I feel like they always do this but if you ordered within the first few hours people typically received their iPad/iPhone day of launch. The shipping status will definitely update as the launch date gets closer though.

These threads are becoming cringe worthy do we have to bring up the poor dead guy over and over during every launch and every announcement?

What?

Yes, the stock levels are low but the actual process was very smooth and was MUCH better than the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Using the app was so easy.

Didn't get the one you wanted on time so you're grumpy?

I'm sitting here almost an hour later and the SS with classic bands in both sizes are both available for 4/24-5/8 delivery dates still. I think Apple thought because this was a classic style it would be popular and made more of these. My husband couldn't get the Space Gray Sport without a long wait so he went with the 42 mm SS and Classic band, which was what he liked originally anyway.

worst for some, best for others. If I could actually go back to sleep, I would. I was planning for an hour of "work"...took 1 minute.

Same here!!! I'm wide awake. My ordering process was the smoothest ever. (I've preordered at 3am the 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6+, and a few iPads.)

What was wrong with the 6/6+ launch? How was it better than this?

I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 online once available, and it was delivered *at launch*. None of this "4-6 weeks" or "June" like with the Watch.

I think considering the uncertainty of success they went with limited quantities at launch. It looks better for people to see they are more "in demand" than readily available. Just a guess

Apple can now say they have 'sold out' and that the product is an amazing success (without giving actual numbers)...
Obviously they're going to give numbers. They're a publically traded company, even if for whatever incomprehensible reason they didn't want to, they HAVE to give numbers, by law. So don't be silly/trollish, thank you.
