I currently have the space gray 6+ and I thought I would get the regular black after watching the keynote. Then at the last minute when I was scrambling to pre-order and looking at the colors I changed my mind and went with the JB thinikng it would be a nice change. Order time is 2:56am on AT&T for a 7+ 256GB. With the way this launch is going, I'm hoping to receive it some time this year...
Yup same thing I said when I started to see the reviews. In the Apple press shots they made it look like the black made the phone look all glass, but in reality the phone looks like an iPhone 5C and scratches easy as hell. Glad I dodged that bullet.
I took a look in the Apple Store today and liked the jet black a lot. Suspect I'd like it rather less once it's all scratched up though.
The matte black looks dull to me (nothing like as nice as the space gray). Not sure what I'd get if I were to buy this year (unlikely as it'd be the double lens camera that would win me over and the 7 plus just won't fit in my pocket); silver is lovely but I don't like white bezels, hate the black and fear the scratches and smears of the jet black.

I don't regret my decision to order Jet Black. I don't regret my decision to wait for Jet Black.
But you should keep posting anyways. I'm sure it makes for a neat hobby.
I have to agree with everything you said, and I ordered the JB plus (due in mid Oct). When I was in the store this morning I looked at both Matte Black Plus and JB 7 and the 7 felt like I was holding a 5C. It doesn't feel metal at all. It does look good but also gets smudges really fast. I haven't canceled my order yet but I think I like the Matte Black more.
Seeing them all in stores today, loved Jet Black. Looks like a new, fresh design even though its not. Really impressed me.
Did anyone consider that maybe Apple has 5 color options because different people like different things? I like the Jet Black. It looks sleek. But I also liked the Rose Gold last year and the silver in previous years.
With all these people that cancelled their JB orders, or never even ordered it in the first place because its sooooo hideous and cheap looking, how is it that my JB 128GB 7+ ship date still hasn't budged from November?
The Silver looks amazing to me. It's a nice break from the Space Gray I had all these years. Very pleased.
My matte black 7+ came today. It's AWESOME. Absolutely beautiful.

I can accept if people say the JB is high-maintenance or scratches easily, but to call it ugly is a bit overboard. Maybe it can look cheap or plasticky to some, but again...ugly?...just don't see that.
Same goes for the ones saying JB will have zero resale value.

I prefer the black front so that's why I always went with space grey and now the jet black. I use clear cases but I wrap the back of mine in carbon fiber to match my car, lol
I think the jet black reminds or the iphone 4 in black, but the truth is that iphone 4 uses glass and jet black is just like an imitation or the iphone texture.
